The hotel was OK in the sense that the staff seemed nice and all the amenities were fine. The biggest problem was that we could hear absolutely everything that was happening outside our room. And there seemed to be a group of loud group staying in the several rooms around us, so we couldn't get to sleep until they did. Since the main purpose of a hotel is to get a good night's sleep, I think the fact that the rooms are very poorly sound-proofed is a big detriment.
The location of the hotel is pretty convenient if you're coming to Jerusalem by bus, since it's right next to the bus terminal. But if you're getting to the city some other way, and sightseeing the old city is your priority, you might want to find a hotel that is closer to there.
