this hotel is truly amazing.
i've stayed there last month, during thw week od passover. i'm not jewish, so the dact that the hotel was completely kosher was a bit disturbing, however food was great anyway.
the location is wonderful- just minutes away from the old city, and about 10 steps fron the beautiful mamila avenue.
service in really the best thing in this great hotel.
it is not a small boutique hotel, however the staff sure makes you feel as if it is. most staff members are friendly and nice, remember your name and room number. Ata from breakfast was magnificent! i would come back just for him.
Jamie and Izik from bellhoppers team are so nice, hekped me with great recommendations, and always rememberd to ask how did i enjoy the placed i went to- weahter it was a restaurant or any tourist site.
passover time was very busy- hotel was probably fully booked, many many people, however there were many staff members so you couldn't feel it.
security team really seem to run this place. it appears as if these guys are everywhere at all time. whenever you walk in or out of the hotel, you'll see security. they were also patrolling the hallways constantly, and were able to call anyone you may need (not only security) with just the press of a button.
one of the days we've found out that our room's door wouldn't close properly. i called guest service, and a minute later Ran fron security came over with a messenger bag full of tools and quickly fixed it. i don't know why fixing doors is an issue for security, but it worked great for us, as he did it quick and efficient.

overall, i loved every bit of my stay.
the location is great, service is top notch, food very good, pool is great with very nice view.
i would most certainly come back to this hotel!

Room Tip: ask for the renovated rooms at 4th floor, from a qouick glimpse they look much better then the other...

I have enjoyed my four stays at the David Citadel hotel. It is a short walk to the Old City through Mamilla mall from the hotel. The Israeli breakfasts and other meals can be eaten on the terrace, which has beautiful views. The waiters try to please. The hotel is in the process of upgrading already impressive surroundings. Hope to return next year,

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Old City have balconies.

It was just a fascinating Stay !
I would like to highlight that during our group stay I have experienced a new definition for the word " service" ! All because of a waiter called Bilal !
He is a Tornado, all of us who were sitting on the table have experienced a never ever way and technique of service.

Because of the feeling of amusement and astonishment after that dinner I will make sure to write directly to Mr. Akirov telling him that he has a TORNADO called Bilal.

He must try him personally for a dinning experience like never before.

Very nice and accommodating hotel. Service was the best part, in particular the care that was taken by Ata Bayah at breakfast everyday. He was extraordinarily hospitable and a true professional. Would stay here again.

First, the pro: the location, that's it.

The room is large, but dated. The bathroom has one sink and a shower that was designed by someone who clearly doesn't understand how a shower should work. No room for shampoo, conditioner and soap. No place to hang a wash cloth and no way to turn on the water without getting soaking wet.

The room has no coffee machine and internet access is slow as the old 28k dial up. The hallways aren't air conditioned and the lobby looked like it was last refreshed over 15 years ago. I'd expect more from a Holiday Inn.

Do not bother paying extra for the executive lounge. The food presentations are basically the same at all times, with tuna salad being the main staple.

Extremely overpriced, outdated and indifferent service. Stay elsewhere.

We spent 10 days and everything was perfect. It's that simple. All we had to do was ask, respectfully of course, and we never once heard the word "no". As a former diplomat, I stayed at many 5 star hotels on every continent. The service and quality totally exceeded expectations and would put many a Ritz or St. Regis to shame.

Words can not describe the professionalism and service of every staff member.

An incredible experience and refreshing to see true customer service and quality assurance built into every process - from check-in to check-out, perfect in every way.

Kudos to the entire team and leadership that made everything totally seamless and customer-centric.

If you are looking for perfect, and understand that respect breeds respect, this is the place. Just check your entitlement attitude at the door, remember to say please and thank you, and watch the magic unfold before your eyes.

A Tom Peters *WOW* moment.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room before you have your luggage sent up.
