From the first view of the hotel, everyone was accommodating, helpful. The concierge, Eyal, was a excellent help, friendly knowledgable, and hard working.

The food was fresh, very well made, the presentation was top notch, and the only problem was not eating too much.

The room was very pleasant, comfortable, and restful.

I would definitely highly recommend this hotel.

Every staff member from the front desk, to room service and the dining room personnel were friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. As soon as a dish was close to empty at the breakfast buffet it was replaced with a new one. Selection of food and quality was excellent. Rooms are nicely furnished with lots of space and very clean. The view is fantastic. You can see the entire city of Jerusalem old and new. The hotel is located close to many attractions and highways. The pool, spa and exercise room are very nice and well maintained. Over all this should be rated as a 5 Star hotel. It was our first stay at this location and definitely will not be our last. We highly recommend this hotel.

A short business stay in the Dan Jerusalem and Dan Carmel (Haifa) left me very impressed with both hotels. The rooms in the Jerusalem hotel were vast and came with a good view. The business lounge was wonderful with great food. The internet costs, though this is normal as per my experiences. The spa was nice though it was really the food that stole the show. Freshly rolled sushi one night, Middle Eastern another and then French on my final night - all amazing.

Cab drivers still know this at the Hyatt, so worth remembering for navigation. The hotel is set imposingly on Mount Scopus in a well-to-do area favored by diplomatic missions. The building runs down the hillside and offers views over the city - if you peer you can see the Dome of the Rock. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, benefiting from the recent makeover into the top end of the Dan group. The breakfast buffet is copious and the restaurant enjoys a lot of space.

Not too cheap but price/quality OK
Dan hotels, where a welcome never ends... is there slogan.
Indeed the first day you are very welcome. Th reception is Ok, You receive a variety of fruits in your room, a welcome letter, every evening somebody passes by to ask if you need something. The breakfast is spendid, fresh, people at the reception helpfull...even if you use public transport , the city can be easily reached although outside of the center.
For those who are not familiar with the sabbath: life stops on Friday evening even in such a large hotel. It has its own charm.
We liked it!

My boyfriend surprised me at the end of a working trip to Israel and we booked at the Dan Jerusalem. Our view faced the Old City and at night was drenched in warm sun. The hotel is gorgeous and incredibly personal for such a large place. We didn't see any tour groups, so maybe we came at the right time of year...

I would love to come again. We spent a whole day doing nothing in the spa and the reception staff had some wonderful recommendations for nights out. Thank you!!!

This is a nice hotel, good location, lots of space and an open and friendly atmosphere. Food is good, breakfast is excellent. Overall service is very friendly and helpful (though safes in the rooms still do not work). The problematic point as previously mentioned, is that the bulk of the guests come with package tours (Holy Land Tourism etc.). Once busloads arrive or depart it gets very noisy and staff is totally occupied with them. Thus, 5-9 pm and 6-8 am is not a good time to hang around. Although groups spend the whole day in the bus together, they have to sit together in the evening as well, dragging chairs and furniture through the bar. If you happen to have a room facing the parking, be aware that buses are loaded as early as 6:30 and the screeching of the luggage carts certainly wakes you up.
The pool is nice and clean, though it was not clear what is Spa (and costs) and what is outdoor (and free). Most of the peaople in the spa and pool are local residents who are members.
All in all, good if you need hotel close to the Hebrew University or Haddassah Hospital, not recommended for individual tourists.
WLAN costs, but works very well (at least on the executive floors); laundry and minibar is quite expensive.
