The Dan Jerusalem hotel is a smart looking building set on the side of a hill. The design is spectacular with good views to the city.
I believe the hotel was a Hyatt and is now part of the Dan group. It is a little tired in a typical American way, but is being renovated. The work so far looks good.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. There is some noise from the busy road nearby, but with the windows closed and ther a/c on this was not really a problem.
The buffet restaurant at the hotel is excellent, with a huge choice of fresh food, although it is a little expensive.
The hotel is in a good location and is only a few minutes stroll from Ammunition Hill station on the new Tramway that starts operation soon. When this is running travelling to the Old City and downtown will be very easy.

Where do you start. Failing air-conditioning, broken toilet roll holder, rude staff and probaby the worst food we've ever tasted in a hotel claiming to be of sucjh high quality.

When swimming was considered, the pool had no towels

Dear Dan Jerusalem Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
We would like to apologise for the discomforts you experienced during your stay.
We are particularly upset to read of your dislike for the hotel's rich Israeli breakfast and expansive dinner buffets, of which we receive many compliments on the range and quality of the food.
Please be assured that all of your remarks have been noted and rectified accordingly by the relevant manager in the hotel.
We would be grateful for the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future to ensure a positively reformed impression of the Dan Jerusalem.
With regards,
The Management.

Great service, very convenient suite , room size is excellent for kids , we took the executive suite which was very roomy for our 2 kids , the new kids activity room was a good place of attraction and kept them occupied when the weather was too hot outside while we enjoyed quite time at the pool , don't skip the breakfast with the huge variety of cheese selection and the on demand fresh fruits shakes

We went for a family occassion, and were very pleased with the hotel in general. The room was very comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff were lovely. A water pipe boke and there was no water one morning- it was inconvenient, but was fixed as quickly as possible. The food was very good. We ate breakfast there every morning qand enjoyed it a lot. We usually had a light dinner in the bar, which was also very nice. The concierge, Eyal, was worth his weight in gold. Really.

This hotel was beyond my expectations. Front desk service is very good, as the restaurant and the rooms. My only complain is the lack of free internet.

At the front desk you find easily attendants who speak English, German and Spanish. Rooms are not wide large but they are comfortable and clean. The restaurant service for breakfast and dinner is superb. The quality of food was amazing and the waiter service followed the same style. There is lots of room for parking, even for buses.

We've been traveling to Israel for almost 30 years and have to say that this is a wonderful hotel with, probably, the best ever breakfast experience. Israel is famous for its breakfasts but the food in this hotel tops the lot! The hotel is wonderfully light and airy and although it is not centrally located, safe and secure parking is free (a definite plus in Jerusalem) plus there is also a shuttle bus at convenient times. A fantastic open-air swimming pool and terrific views of the old city complete the picture. Really, put this one top of your list for your next trip to Israel.
