I found this hotel to be adequate -- that's right, just adequate. The rooms are old but clean and well maintained. I had a hard time figuring out how to adjust the temperature. Annoying that the wi-fi is so expensive: $17/day. They could go a long way with guests by offering it free with a stay. I had no problem with the breakfast -- I thought there were plenty of choices for salads, cheeses. Cakes looked kinda tired and unappetizing. I don't know why but this is supposed to be a no smoking hotel (or at least my floor was no smoking) but there were times that I definitely smelled cigarette smoke in my room. I don't know if I'd stay here again.

We stayed at the Prima Kings for 9 nights during our trip with the Eretz Yisroel Movement tour. We paid an extra $50/night to get an upgraded room, which was shabby and not worth the extra money The hotel overall was old, not very clean and the food was terrible; not fresh. My husband and I had to eat several dinners out as the food was unappealing and not what we expected. The front desk was not helpful, except for a manager we dealt with; Ilan. The food on Shabbat was terrible; institutional food, not the fresh, wholesome food we expected to find in Israel. Besides the convenient location, this hotel had nothing else going for it. We don't plan on returning there on our next trip to Israel.

Room Tip: Don't bother paying an extra $50/night to get a slightly larger room with a balcony. The room wa...

Just spent three lights at the Prima Kings. All I can say is, great location. Otherwise, not impressed. An old and tired hotel. We stayed in what was billed as (and were charged for) a "recently upgraded, business class room". i would not want to see the condition of a non-upgraded room. Tiny elevator. The shower/tub was tiny, I could not stand sideways in it. The tile and grout was cracked and moldy. The towels were tiny and cheap. When I moved the desk to get to the electrical outlet, I found old pretzel sticks and a used q-tip. The front desk staff were surely. We asked for a late check-out. We were told we could stay an extra 30 minutes (until 12:30). The phone rang at 12:00 asking why we hadn't left yet. The dining room was very crowded, glasses were spotted, food was adequate, but the display and layout of the Israeli buffet was poor. (we have stayed in over a dozen hotels in Israel, and this dining room rates near the bottom). The Shabbat dinner was ok, not great, but very expensive, especially for what we got. I would not stay here again. The Leonardo is across the street, and a much nicer hotel.

Room Tip: best tip is find another hotel.

There is nothing major wrong with this hotel except that one can stay for about $70 a day at a better located small hotel without paying $17 a day foa wi-fi.

I just returned to the USA after touring Israel for 10 days. While there I stayed at 4 different hotels - all of which were delightful in their own ways. Prima Kings however stood out - their customer service is phenomenal - they are polite and will bend over backwards to assist you. The facility is clean, elegant, in a great location, has excellent food, wonderful housekeeping - a wonderful place to stay if you are in Jerusalem. I would recommend it to anyone!!

What a pity to come to the most beautiful city and choose a hotel well situated.....The down side was the most filthy diningroom and lounge area. Going to breakfast in the morning and being shown to a table, the waiter just brushed the dirt to the floor. Needless to say we did not sit there, then to find plates that had been half washed or were cracked. One would not expect to find that from a 4 star establishment. We had coffee in the evening and the following morning at 10.30 the dirty coffee cups were still lying on all the tables. Very off putting to say the least. In the bedroom no plugs for the bath and then dirty water was regurgitating up into the bath. This hotel definitely needs to be paying a lot more attention to detail.
