The location of this hotel is ideal - about a 10 minute walk to the center of town with shops and restaurants, and to the Old City. If you are not looking for a fancy hotel and just want somewhere to sleep, this is the place to stay.
This hotel would be perfect but it needs a facelift. The carpeting and furniture in the lobby are old as is the carpeting in the halls and guest rooms. The beds are the typical skinny Israeli mattresses. I had to request a board to be placed under my mattress as it was a little too soft and the hotel complied right away.
We had room 208, which is a corner room and it was great. Nice and quiet and fairly big. The bathroom, though, was on the tiny side. There is also a refrigerator in the room. The hotel had some great cable channels. Whereas tv in the past in Israel was awful, it is much better now and we saw some classic old movies on the European TCM channel and MGM channel. I never thought I’d see Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz on tv in Israel.
Breakfast was the typical Israeli breakfast and was great. They had all kinds of salads, cheeses, fish, hot and cold egg dishes, cereal, breads and some kind of kugel and other hot dishes – sometimes pancakes or quiches. Chef Vladimir, who cooked made-to-order omelets, was very nice as was our waiter, Rahabi, who always remembered that we liked extra cold milk with our coffee every morning. One night we had the dinner buffet and it was excellent with a terrific selection of schnitzel, chicken, fish, beef, potatoes, rice, salads, desserts. In the evening, after a long day of running around, if it was early enough and we didn’t want to go straight to the room, we enjoyed sitting in the lobby and the two of us quietly sang along while Ava played the piano.
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the security guards in the front of the hotel – Hi, Tal and Shalom and Orit in the office. All-in-all, it was a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Room 208 in the corner is larger than the average room and it was nice a quiet.

The good:
Location, location, location
Breakfast is plenty

The not so good:
Older hotel, although rooms seem renovated
Our bathroom had a strong unpleasant smell

Conclusion: a bit on the expensive side for what the hotel offered, it seems very popular with orthodox Jews ... Nevertheless recommendable since the location is awesome for visits to the old and new parts or to take a stroll through the Rehavia quarter

Short and sweet..... great location, able to walk to many locations. Many nearby places to eat. helpful staff, Parking sucks, Wifi is crazy expensive, rooms small, bathrooms smaller, Good maid service. Small fridge in each room. Nice breakfast spread.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room facing the street if you want a view, and facing the back of the building if you want quiet

Prima Kings has clean rooms and bathrooms and decent sized ones - we had a triple (our son was so pleased that he had an actual bed and not a pull out chair; included were great and bountiful Israeli breakfasts - try the fresh omelet station where the chef from Chicago greets you with, "How're you doing?". The front desk personnel and manager, Avi, are always friendly, pleasant and helpful. They do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable. When we stayed one extra day after our group departed, we were allowed to keep the room for the day until we departed early evening for a late night flight.
This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Ben Yehuda Street (lots of restaurants and shopping), Mamilla Mall, and Jaffa Gate. Across the street (to the left) is a supermarket. To reach a great cafe and restaurant (the roasted cauliflower with tahini is a must!!) with free internet access walk out the front door, cross the street and walk to the right until you reach the cafe in the fork in the road.
This hotel is highly recommended!!

Very well located hotel, small loby, great breakfast and nice buffet dinner. Rooms and bathroom are small. It was clean when we got the room, but maintenance later was sloppy. Bedsheets were on the wrong side, used towels were forgotten on the room floor and used coffee/tea bags were not replaced. The TV was not working and we had to call reception twice in 2 days to fix it.
