Prima Kings in Jerusalem – a little run down but nice staff, very helpful and amazing breakfast. great location close to the old city. stayed there in December, right after the big snow storm. the workmen fixing the power around Jerusalem were staying there as well. the breakfast was amazing, i also stayed at the Prima Tel Aviv- the breakfast there could not compare to the one at the Prima Kings.

Room Tip: don't have high expectations of a luxury experience but the staff is nice, helpful ask for a map...

The staff here are lovely and will do anything for you if you ask - particularly if you kevitch (Yiddish for 'complain') but they are a little bemused by politeness :) There are smoking floors here and the smell tends to permeate everything and this can be a problem. The dining room is kosher and there is always an amazing array of food. The locale is wonderful - less than 5 minutes walk to the Old City or to Ben Yehuda if you're into shopping. There is a little supermarket immediately across the road, may ATM's nearby, the Great Synagogue adjacent and little more than 5 - 10 minutes walk that is worth seeing. The Israel Museum, which is worth seeing, is only 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes in a taxi. Rooms at the two fronts (it's on a corner) can be noisy as it is an extremely busy intersection. If you can get a room at the back it is lovely and quiet.

Room Tip: Ask for one at the back of the hotel that does not overlook King George if you want a quiet night an...

The hotel is affordable and you can easily walk from/to old Jerusalem (about 5-10min)
While I found in this hotel everything I needed, completely fine, no complaint, very happy, my wife found it rather old and used and not super clean; different perspectives. For me it was a nice three star hotel, of course not new (in a sense that not all hotels can be and stay new... ;-)
Staff was friendly, breakfast fine...

Very nice, clean hotel in downtown Jerusalem. Short walk to the old city, Ben Yehuda and Mahane Yehuda (all must sees). Rooms are small but have everything you need: clean bathroom, in room safe, TV and twin beds, huge buffet breakfast. Non-kosher folks will miss the usual bacon and eggs since the restaurant is kosher. However, there is more than plenty to choose from - eggs, many cheeses, buns, breads, lots of salads (yes for breakfast), fruit salads too. And yes - everyone speaks english!

Room Tip: We had a 3rd floor room facing a noisy traffic circle (drivers honk a lot in Jerusalem) but the balc...

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights.
It seemed old, but the location of the hotel was ideal to explorer the old city of Jerusalem. Breakfast was excellent.
The best part of this hotel is its staff. They are very friendly and helpful.
The snow storm hit the town during my stay and could not get out of the hotel. As I was traveling alone I had nothing to do, but the hotel staff kept me company, and they explained about the town, history, and their culture etc. Really enjoyed conversations with them.
When it stopped snowing, some of them offered walking tour in the old city after their shift. Unfortunately I had to leave and did not have chance, but they're very kind.

Our family celibration was quit diminished by the mixup at the checkin. We did not receive the rooms as requested. One of us had to sleep (both nights)on the floor on a thin mattress, the promised roll on bed never arrived. The rooms were not ready at checkin time. We waited for 1 1/2 hours till all 17 guests were settled.
Too bad, the hotel is in a great central spot.
