The hotels location is ideal and the pool was a lot of fun. But the rooms were kind of small and old but the staff was always pretty friendly.

My biggest complaint was no valet parking. I was traveling with 3 small children and having to park the car myself and get them and a stroller through the narrow parking garage and elevator was not a trip I looked forward to doing multiple times a day.

The kids club was just an open room with toys, no staff, or anything that stood out, just at the bottom of the hotel in a closed off area.
Breakfast was plentiful.

The Inbal Jerusalem Hotel was an awesome place to stay for five days in Jerusalem, the staff are extremely helpful and the bell staff was excellent, we left the Inbal for a three day trip to Jordan and left our luggage with the staff, they were extremely accommodating and helped us when we returned by letting us use the pool area to change and repack for our trip home to the US; the breakfast was a feast and the wait staff was always their to service your breakfast needs;

The Imbal makes a good first impression with a lovely lobby and atrium. It also has a good restaurant with good service and is very accessible for people with disabilities.
The rooms are another matter. Many are tired and outdated. The bathrooms are very small and the shower/bath is restrictive and dangerous-hard to get in and out and slippery without a rubber bath mat. Like many service related industries in Israel, "do it yourself" is the order of the day.
The wait staff for the breakfast buffet are poorly trained and I advise you to look for your own coffee, find your own cutlery and even your own plates. In general the food for the breakfast buffet is good. On the other hand. for evening meals
the wait staff in the restaurant are excellent and the service and the food are excellent. In other words, the place is inconsistent and unpredictable.
The same goes for the pool area- Chaos!
In my opinion, this hotel is not managed well. It lacks perceptive and anticipatory oversight and takes its good location and relative lack of competition for granted. Customer service is NOT a priority here at all. In general, our experience here was disappointing because it is rated as a four star property. The lobby and the evening restaurants rate four stars; the rooms rate two stars unless you want to pay 800 plus dollars a night. To put this in perspective the Homewood Suites in Sudbury Ontario for 120 dollars a night is far superior.
We anxiously await the opening of the Waldorf-Astoria in Jerusalem!

Room Tip: Ask to see at least two rooms before taking your luggage to the room-many rooms are dowdy and crampe...

Our 2-year-old granddaughter Ella visited us a lot at the Inbal hotel. She loved the place, referred to it as "grandma's house"; everybody was friendly, and she felt like she owned the place.

We also had the same good experience at the hotel as on previous visits.

Room Tip: Watch for sun's direction in the morning (unless you are an early riser). Executive rooms (wi...

We spent five nights at the Inbal for a large family event. The hotel is lovely. Perfect size rooms, attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere make this hotel a great home away from home. Very convenient to walk to the Old City and the German Quarter, close to parks. A huge breakfast buffet with lots of choices including waffles for the kids and an omelette station. One word of caution if you are a big person you may have a problem with the tub shower as it is very narrow. Also, the place was packed by with families as our trip coincided with the end of summer. There was not one square inch of space at the pool, so I would suspect it is not a place for a quiet get away (at least not at the end of August).

This Jerusalem hotel is just short of the kingdom of heaven, and not only geographically. Everyone on the staff, from manager Bruno down to the bell staff and servers in the dining room, all went that extra step to make us comfortable and happy. Sandra at guest relations and Nurit at the front desk are nurturing without being intrusive. There's a lovely feminine aspect, evident in the daily floral arrangements.
Only one negative: the breakfasts are so scrumptious and irresistible that my wife and I fell hard off the Weightwatchers wagon.. We're home now and will climb back on.

Room Tip: If they know it's your first time in Jerusalem, maybe they'll give you a room facing the old...

We stayed at the Inbal hotel for seven nights and had a family room which consisted of two separate rooms with an additional door that separated the rooms from the hallway. This arrangement was perfect for our family of five. We were part of a large group of about 50 people travelling together and the hotel accommodated us beautifully. We were extremely happy with the hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and check in and out was smooth. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was fabulous and we especially enjoyed eating outdoors every morning. The pool area is wonderful and I appreciated a lane being reserved for swimming laps. The lobby is comfortable and we appreciated being able to sit with our friends and family in the area. The hotel is in a great location. We walked many times for dinner to the downtown area and to the Germany colony, both about 10 minute walks. We highly recommend this hotel. It worked out perfectly for a multi-family group, including a range of ages from young children to grandparents, travelling together.
