“Hospitality needs to improve”
Reviewed 25 October 2013 via mobile

Very central location. Room tiny. Dinner and breakfast not very appetising. What really annoyed me was that while chatting at the end of dinner, instead of kindly asking the group to make their way out to the lobby, a hotel employee appeared with a noisy vacuum cleaner and started hoovering under our feet. This rudeness horrified us. Such behaviour is simply not acceptable. The hospitality industry in israel has a lot to learn in my humble opinion!

Just of Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall, a few minutes from the Old City and other landmarks,
The hotel was recently completely renovated.
But some of the clients are low-cost tourist groups.
The noise in the area is sometimes too much if you leave the window open.
My room was full of cigarette smoke from a room one floor lower.
The food is OK, but not more than that.
The rooms are very nice. In each room is a Safety Deposit Box.so can leave there stuff.
When I stayed there, there was a group of youth with too much energy.

2 blocks from "City Center" and within walking distance of the Old City, this property has been upgraded and is doing all it can to please customers. Our group stayed here for several nights along with a large group of Birthright kids from the U.S.

You must bring ear plugs to any property that is this close to the City Center as the main shopping street is only 2 blocks away and people party late into the night. Add to that a hotel full of boisterous youth, and sleep will be a challenge. However, if you do complain to the front desk, they will take your complaint seriously and try to quiet down the other guests.

Meals are satisfactory.

Room Tip: You will be across the street from Israel's best coffee shop. Bring ear plugs.

Hotel is clean and quiet. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Service is very good. Very close proximity to the City center and streets with good restaurants. Walking distance to the David Gate. I would stay there again when traveling to Jerusalem.

Despite the renovations to this hotel, and proximity to the center of the city, It did not live up to a three star hotel. The rooms are very small, even by Israeli and European standards. There was barely room for us to move around. Breakfast was adequate, but you had to prepare your own coffee from either instant coffee of "botz" Israeii Turkish coffee. There were no tissues in the bathroom, which again had been remodeled and was adequate. Thus I wouod class this as a bare minimum hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. The entrance and dining room were nice, but at breakfast was a bit crowded. The hotel obviously caters for large groups, one day a large group of American students, another day a large group from the Ukraine, who prayed and sang at breakfast. In fact it reminded me ( I am now 80 ) of my days in a youth hostel.
The area is a very active one, with lots of good restaurants , cafes; bars etc. Great for young people who do not mind the Spartan accommodation. It was very cheap for Jerusalem, and seems to be well run.

Room Tip: The 9th floor was very quiet. we had the last room on this floor and had no problems sleeping

The Jerusalem Tower provided us with a clean, comfortable and affordable facility with outstanding service and a great breakfast. Rooms are a little small but very comfortable. You can walk to the old city, Ben Yehuda and King David streets. There is a grocery store and many restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked a return stay.
