Owner description: Starting at St. Stephen's (Lions') Gate in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, this is the route Jesus is said to have followed as he carried the Cross to his crucifixion.

You can walk the stations of the cross along this route. Some groups carry crosses as they move through the area. It takes you throuhg the old city.

The actual street Fromm 2000years ago is about 2° feet underground, and we really do not know when the actual events occurred, but it is a reminder of what Jesus suffered for us.

It was a great experience seeing and walking through what Jesus had been. This place is just amazing. It was a lot of walking, all kinds of elevations and pavements. Not advisable for people with canes or walkers or definetely no wheelchairs. The line on the 12th station was so packed, shoulder to shoulder, people trying to touched the stone were the cross was buried. But it was a great experienced no one can ever imagined. I feel blessed to experienced that. It is a must see if you believed in Jesus Christ.

This is a hard walk cobbled streets, hilly and some bantering some shop keepers, but if you try to focus on the walk you will have a tiny insight into how difficult it must have been for the Lord to carry a heavy cross. I struggled and had to keep stopping.

Even if you have walking difficulties this is doable as long as you keep stopping. Don't let anything put you off.
