“A touch contrived and park-like”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

The Garden Tomb seems a little contrived. Free to enter and interesting, but oddly void of tourists given it's apparent significance.

I'm glad I visited but not sure what to think. If this does turn out to be the place Jesus was entombed, it's location will be inspirational.

Visit the Garden Tomb but keep your expectations in check.

“A great place to meet with God”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

I've been to the Garden Tomb many times. There are communion services happening all the time with the various groups & there are many beautiful, inspiring spots, where one can just sit & be with the Lord.

“Garden Tomb”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

To find such serenity in the midst of a busy, bustling City, and even though there are many tourists in the Garden, yet the staff always manage to find the group a quiet spot to remember the Lord, and to have communion. The staff are so wonderful - kind, knowledegable, and very accommodating.

“Quiet and peaceful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

Unlike he other claimed tomb in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, this is a quiet place set in a garden. The volunteers are helpful but not intrusive and a walk around and a little reading tells he story of the garden. Certainly the tomb and the nearby Golgotha seem too better fit the biblical narrative but they make no claim to authenticity, just a claim to possibility.
You are likely to encounter a tour group or two singing, praying or taking communion in one of the several areas created for this purpose and that adds a little character to the visit.
After the bustle of the old city, this is a peaceful oasis that certainly merits a visit.

“A little too commercial”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

This place is well laid out and free. While I liked the idea...it was a bit too commercial for my blood. Big tour groups inundate the place while in house guides try to convince us that this is the place...not the other place. I just didn't feel it.
