A decent hotel for sure. Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is really very poor. Poor quality products and limited selection. Did not seem fresh. Staff not very friendly. They did their job well but a friendly hello is not the way they work. Also the ventilation is very loud and cant be shut down....if you are a light sleeper like me, this will be a problem.

this quaint hotel is tucked into a quiet street that is permanently closed to traffic. It is a few minutes from Jaffa (Yafo) Street and about 20 minute walk to Jaffa Gate, making it very accessible to restaurants and touring the Old City. Because it is near Jaffa Street, it is very convenient for taking taxis or public transportation to the famous sites. The staff were very helpful, internet is freely available (and free of charge) and the breakfast is simple but satisfying. I really have nothing negative to say!

I recently stayed 5 nights at the Montefiore and thought it was just great. My room had plenty of closet space, and operable windows, which allowed the wonderful Jerusalem air inside each day. The bathroom was good sized, with a very good hairdryer. Although my room was adjacent to the elevator, I was not disturbed by guests wandering the hallways. The breakfast was quite good, especially the delicious whole grain rolls and burekas. My only complaint was the lack of fresh fruit (though there is canned fruit cocktail, peaches, etc.). The staff was very helpful, printing out my boarding passes. The hotel offers free use of a laptop and wifi in the lobby. The location is great - walking distance to just about everyplace in the center of the City. And a special treat, on Fridays, there is a craft fair right outside on Shatz Street. I'd definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a southerly exposure and you'll get nice sunlight and radiant heat (though p...

Very helpful and friendly hotel. Approximately 20-25 minute walk to the old city but would happily stay there again. Only concern was the lack of space given the large size of the very comfortable bed.
