First things first. My wife is not easy to please and even she said that this hotel was 'clean' which is high praise indeed. From that start point everything else fitted in to place nicely. I have to say that it was a pain to find the hotel because it is on a small pedestrian area with no parking and a jumbled one way system all around. As long as you don't go down the bus and taxi lane ( like I did) and are a bit patient then you will get there eventually. I stopped nearby and ran in to the hotel to ask about parking. They have an arrangement with a nearby parking lot for 55 NIS per day ( about £9) which was about 5 NIS cheaper than others I saw. Once in the hotel we had 2 rooms. I know some people have claimed that the rooms aren't very big but obviously they are used to American palatial hotels not 3 star Jerusalem city centre hotels. The rooms were perfectly adequate and included a fridge ( which was rather noisy) and a room safe. The rooms don't need to be any bigger because you wont be in them for long. Five minutes walk takes you to the lively Mehane Yehuda market with fantastic food stalls and a 2 minute walk gets you to Ben Yehuda street. About a 10 minute walk ( or 15 with my kids) and you are in the Old City. Breakfast was adequate, perhaps a little basic by the high Israeli standards but we only realised that later in our trip when staying in Tel Aviv and had a much more generous choice. However for normal humans and normal appetites it was all you need to start the day. Staff were helpful and it was a great spot from which to tour Jerusalem.
I have only 1 major complaint and word of warning. Bearing in mind this is quite a popular and busy city centre hotel, the walls and doors are paper-thin and we could hear every noise and conversation throughout our floor. Not great when you have kids trying to sleep and a group of partygoers or American high school kids come back at 1am in full voice. Not the hotel's fault about the other guests but they could do something about the quality of the soundproofing.
