My parents and I stayed at the Jerusalem Hotel for five nights. The hotel has real character. The rooms were charming and the staff is lovely. They did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location of the hotel is great - just outside the Damascus Gate. A very simple walk into the city. The restaurant at the hotel is very good and popular with people in the area. The downside is that the rooms are all different. One of our rooms was spacious and lovely. The other was small and rather dark. There is a slight smell from the bathroom that is a result of the heat and poor plumbing. There was also very low water pressure in the hotel shower. The breakfasts were "ok". I would definitely recommend the hotel. The staff made it worth all the short-comings. If you are looking for glam or super comfort, you may want to look elsewhere.
