“A most and must visiting place”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Saint Anne is the mother of Holy Mary. Here, according to legend, she was born. The church on the site is medieval and has a fabulous acoustics. There are the Beth Hesda pools and other archeological exavations. Very, very beautiful and interesting. It is located near the Lions gate and at the beggining of Via Dolorosa.

“Etherial”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

The acoustics are heavenly. We were fortunate to hear a quartet of gentlemen sing, and then our group sang - and we NEVER sounded that good. The echo at the end of each line goes on for 9-12 seconds and is quite the experience.

“Underrated stop!”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

If you make it to The Bethesda Pools and the adjacent Church of St Anne, sitting in the church for 30 minutes or more to read or simply sit and watch people sing is a must. The church itself is certainly not one of the more impressive churches in terms of architecture or decoration. But you would find it difficult if not impossible to find another church anywhere with such acoustics - they're amazing.

“If you are a musician, this church is a MUST SEE!”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

The experience of listening/singing in this acoustical wonder is beyond description. Our group had an incredible time at the Church of Saint Anne. The singing brought tears to our eyes, as the stone vaulting is perfectly balanced in providing beautiful sound! I hope this is what heaven sounds like!!! Beside the pools of Bethesda, this church is a welcome respite from the busy Jerusalem streets. Enter her doors, sit, linger and listen. Sing a simple song. Others will join you. You will not regret your visit. You will be blessed!

“An Amazing Place”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

The Church of Saint Anne is an oasis in the chaotic world of the old city. A great time for prayer and reflection. The acoustics of the building are amazing. Group after group kept singing songs that were just wonderful to hear in this building.
