Also very emotional. This is the area where all levels of society - military, political, unknown. A review of how the country grew.

This cemetery is located on top of a small mountain and has amazing look outs. It's located very close to the Yad Vashem (Holocaust) museum. Almost all of Israel's important people are buried here with one notable exception---David ben Gurion is buried at Sde Boker in the desert.

A cemetary is after all a cemetary, no matter how well organized and tended. However, be on the lookout for some special monuments.

The museum attached to this location was most interesting and a film is shown all about the life of Theodore Herzl. Various graves are pointed out to you with information about those who lie there.

If cemeteries are your type of thing... or you are an Israel history fan, you can visit the cemetery and learn about people of importance to the State of Israel. But again, you will only hear one part of the story... you decide.
