By visiting the Herzl Museum on Mt. Herzl you can learn much about the zionist movement and the founding of Israel in less than one hour. Multi media presentation for all ages and in many languages. After visiting the museum it's worthwhile to visit the cemetary of Israel's leaders on Mt. Herzl

While many of Israel's soldier's are buried in other parts of the country, there are fallen heroes here from all of Israel's wars from the war from 1948 to present. There is an audio guide located in various parts of the cemetery which give useful information on those who gave their lives for Israel, as well as free information booklets which include a guide and map. Also located here are the graves of various leaders from Golda Meir to Yitzhak Rabin. There is a connecting path which brings you to the Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum & Memorial) and the Righteous Among the Nations Garden. We spent a day visiting all three sites, and while it was not "fun" in the ordinary sense of the word, it was very rewarding to take time to think and meditate about what others went through.

Here u can visit the graves of fallen soldiers and other political and war giants. It tears a while to find these grave sites, but is well worth the effort to commemorate the giant price these brave people have made!

The Mount Herzl Military Cemetery contains the graves of the fallen soldiers of the I.D.F. since the creation of the State of Israel since 1948.It also contains on the same hill the grave of Theodore Herzl, the founder of Zionism as well as the graves of presidents and prime ministers. It is sad to see how much blood has been spilled in the defence of the State of Israel.
