“the good, the bad & the ugly”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

GREAT - Zoo is clean, nice size, and the animals 'displays' / cages are setup in a orderly & inviting manner

BAD- Zoo is located in the south-western corner of Jerusalem with limited bus service from the city center.

UGLY - Zoo now also contains 'non-Biblical' animals yet still retains its original name

“A great place to go as a family, or romantic visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

It's always interesting the return to this specific zoo, it has a huge variety of animals from lions, elephants to parrots, exotic greenhouse, and small memos.
You can spend 1/2 easily walking around, then get to the playground and let the kids spend all the extra energy before completing the visit.
In addition in many of the displays you get to an arm reach distance, and can even pet a few goats and rabbits...
Although it's not an historical site in Jerusalem, it's worthy to pay a visit to a place that is equally interesting to parents and kids and teens.
The Zoo's team is always very welcoming and knowledgeable.
Very positive visit.

“How does this garden grow!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

Kudos to the gardening staff at the zoo. There are quiet green corners, enchanting rippling water features, expanses of green grass for play or contemplation, and that's without mentioning the animal exhibits, the detailed explanations at feeding times, the polite and helpful staff and young volunteers. There's something for everyone from 0-90!

“Most beautiful ZOO !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

It is called "BIBLICAL" because of certain species that are mentioned in the Bible. Biblical or not, it is large, clean, very interesting animals, children corner - to feed and touch the animals.

“the best zoo in the world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

We drove here from the old city of Jerusalem ( an easy 15min drive) and there was plenty of free parking. The grounds are clean and very well maintained. The animals have very large areas to roam freely and they look extremely healthy. The monkeys are really fun to watch. The roads are lined with water fountains and there are fans blowing water mist everywhere. The attendants are very polite and helpful. There is a truck that looks like a railroad train that runs the whole park area. Also the model of Noah's Ark is fabulous. Fun, Fun., Lots of shade and benches. Would love to go back.
