“Dream come true...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014 via mobile

What an amazing place this is. It was like a dream. I had been longing for many days to perform a Friday prayer in masjid ul aqsa and alhamdulillah I got the opportunity last month. There was a lot of struggle to get in on time as guards were not allowing anyone under 50 years to enter the mosque. Luckily for me as I was a tourist, I managed to sneak in. The feeling was amazing.

“oasis of calm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014

Very peaceful. I had trouble getting into the complex. It's not nice that they question visitors as all should be allowed to come worship God. But once in, the atmosphere is really peaceful and spiritual. Go either really early in the morning or evening to enjoy the grounds.

“A peaceful spot in the busy old city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

I was taken aback at the peaceful atmosphere and the calm at the Al Aqsa Mosque. As a non- muslim I could only enjoy the beauty and majesty of this Historic house of worship, but he surrounding afforded a time of rest and respite from the business of the rest of our Old City experience. Be respectful, as this is clearly a very holy place to those worship here. If you are they welcome your visit and you short time there will return you refreshed to continue your holy land exploration.

“The most beautiful place I have ever seen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014

Masjid Al-Aqsa, the 3rd holiest mosque in Islam, the first qiblah for muslims. Just walking around the grounds of the mosque makes you feel as though you've just stepped back in time. Other holy places seem to be much more developed. But al-aqsa has retained its authenticity. A large percentage of people visiting there were tourists, and you feel as though if the current conflicts were not in existence, then the mosque would be packed for every prayer, such as in makkah or madinah. You understand the term ''free palestine'' when you visit here, talking to the locals and people whose ancestors have lived in Jerusalem for 1000 years, who will tell you that even today, they have to apply for permission to the Israeli government in order to be allowed passes that allow them in, Deeply saddening.

“One of the most Beautiful Places on Earth!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2014

As soon as your on the outside grounds it feels like your back in time hundreds of thousands of years ago. Everything is from the past and you get a special feeling when once inside. It is filled with so much history and the work done is beautiful.
