“good price great location”

Close to Jaffa gate. Especially recommend the lentil soup but everything is good. The prices are really fair and the service friendly.

“Great prices, great food. If you come here, make sure you get the hummus. Nice people and family run.”

Service was great. Clean restaurant, free wifi. Just like another visitor mentioned, its the perfect place to plop down and enjoy lunch or dinner after a long day of walking around. Near the Jaffa Gate.

“Great hummus and falafel in Old City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2014

Our family visited Jerusalem on a Saturday when most restaurants are closed and were happy that our tour guide recommended Tala Hummus for lunch after a long morning of walking around the old city. This was the best meal we had in the old city, excellent hummus and falafel, clean and friendly with bathroom and wifi. We were very happy family after eating at Tala Hummus.

“Good food in the Old City”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 December 2013

Exploring Old City of Jerusalem we didn't find a big choice of the places to eat within a middle-range budget. This one is definitely worth a try. Easy to find as it's in a street next to Jaffa Gate, very friendly staff, good soup and main meals. Averagely priced for Jerusalem.
Good impression. Can recommend!

“Very good hummus and falafel hideaway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2013

My wife and I had two very enjoyable lunches here. Hidden away a bit, in the old city, on the first left past the Jaffa Gate. Unassuming, simple cafe-style decor, with a visitor-friendly menu with lots of choices and pictures so you know what the meal looks like and how large the portions will be. Food is basic, filing and delicious - the creamy hummus was especially good as was the falafel (favourable, not dry). Not expensive, and service was very friendly. Free wi-fi.
