Owner description: Following two devastating wars and 20 years of enemy occupation, the Jewish Quarter of Old Jerusalem was reconstructed with great attention to harmonious architectural detail. The highlight of the quarter is the excavation of the Cardo, the ancient Roman market street.

If you need Judaica this is a great place to find it all. Its also great for food and spices. Get lost and found as you walk over the steps of generations.

Wonderful historical place. This is a place that merges history and modern times. Really enlightening to walk the streets capable of speaking history and know the time is so modern. Cannot say enough good about it.

The Jews have really put a lot of effort into cleaning up the Jewish quarter and modernizing it. There is also a section devoted to how the old Roman Cardo looked. It is very pleasant to walk around and in huge contrast to the other more "earthy" quarters. You have to see it to make your visit to the old city complete.

Not really a quarter of the old city, the Jewish Quarter, was smaller than I expected. So many have laid claim to parts of the city, with money being the motivator, that I found it difficult to enjoy the spiritual journey I had envisioned. We did have a very enjoyable lunch here.

The Jewish quarter makes up a big part of the old city. During a walking tour of the old city you will be walking through a big part of the Jewish quarter. In your free time, you should also explore this a bit more as you will get to see quite a lot of schools and synagogues in narrow alleys.
