Rega Matok in Hebrew means "A sweet moment" and that is just what it is. It is a very small place with a limited menu consisting mainly of "blinzes" (pancakes) with sweet or savory fillings, strudel and other sweets and if you absolutely insist there is also soup. If you are longing for real Austrian or Hungarian strudel and not the commercialised version this is the place. If you ancestors are Hungarian or you just remember "blinzes" from your visit to Budapest, you are not going to find a tastier one beetween Budapest and the Middle East. we tried the one with chestnut puree-an absolute treat. But there is also poppy seeds and apple and nuts and oranges (the strudel comes with the same fillings but also with cherry) and all kinds of others that I cannot remember.
If you are in the center of town make the effort to find the place since it is so much better than any other coffe place: it is situated at the end (or begiining) of a pedestrian street in the so called Nahlaot neighbourhood where there is a bog concentration of restaurants.
