“Perfect location and sleep !!!”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

All reception staff are very friendly and welcoming, providing maps, information and any assistance required.
Ben (at reception) is very knowledgable, helpful, provided is info and arranged our transfer from Jerusalem to TLV airport.

Room 62 (Deluxe Suite on the top floor 6) is a studio apartment with a kitchenette containing microwave oven, crockery and cutlery, minibar fridge, bar table, stoles, sofa with roll out bed, flat screen TV, coffee table, arm chair and 2 single beds joined to make one larger bed.

This bed is so comfortable that you will have perfect sleep.
There is also a narrow balcony that wraps around the entire apartment, giving you good views of Jerusalem.

One complementary bottle of water is provided on check-in.

Wifi is complementary and quiet fast.

The hotel is perfectly located in the City Centre, and is less than a five minute walk to just about all bars, restaurants, tram line, buses and many supermarkets.
Jaffa and New Gates, in the old city, are an easy 15 minute walk away, via Jaffa street (following the tram line).

Room Tip: Higher floor room provides a good view.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shamai Suites. Situated close the Jaffa Road for the light railway, a 10 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate and the Old City, it was lose to most places of interest, or a short bus ride away. The room was very comfortable, we'll decorated and furnished. The staff were extremely helpful and we're always on hand if required. Also, close to all amenities including markets, supermarkets, banks, restaurants, shops, etc.

Very much enjoyed my stay at Shammai Suites. The rooms are immaculate. Very well located. Can walk everywhere. Restaurants, Shuk, Old City, all very close by.
If you have or need a car leave it a home. Impossible to find parking and the most reasonable parking is too much for a 3 day stay or more.

Room Tip: The larger suite is very bright with a wrap around porch.

Fab location near the tram and the buses plus a short walk to the old city. Lots of cafes and shops including several 24 hour mini markets as well as several great places for falafal. A branch of coffizz (near enough spelling) is round the corner, everything is 5nis and their iced coffee is amazing. The appartment was big and bright,I had a deluxe studio due to a deal on booking .com. I arrived very early in the morning after the nesher bus had dropped me off and the man at the desk was very good at allowing me to check in earlier, did'nt get his name but he was delightful the entire stay as was Dorya who was enthusiastic, helpful and genuinly wanted to help. The studio was cleaned everyday (they even washed up !!!) with so many eateries I did'nt cook meals but their was a microwave and having the fridge was handy although they supply coffee and creamer. The noise, actually apart from one night (eve of jerusalam day) it was fine and much less than I was expecting from reading the reviews. If you are concerned bring ear plugs as the appartments are reasonbly priced, clean, friendly and handy to see all Jerusalam not just the old city.

My husband and I wanted an apartment type hotel in Jerusalem that had a full time staff if we needed any help or advice. That is exactly what we got, and we were very pleased! The location is perfect - right in the middle of all the activity, and many things within walking distance. It was a little noisy, but the noise usually stopped by 10:00 PM or so. I am a light sleeper, and I had absolutely no trouble sleeping. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite - very spacious and comfortable.
The staff was extremely helpful, and they are available from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM. A special shout out to Ben and Dania for their courtesy and helpfulness.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it wasn't spotlessly clean. However, it was clean enough, and everything was in good condition. The price is great for the quality of the accomodations. I doubt we could have gotten everything we wanted at this price any place else in Jerusalem. I highly recommend.

Excellent! A large and clean room, with all facilities, extremely well located, with a very kind staff. Located almost next to Ben Yehuda near the Shuk and several restaurants. 10 minutes walk to the old city. I recommend it!
