“THE BEST GUIDE WE HAVE EVER HAD!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

My wife and I spent almost a week in Israel with most of the days guided by Moti. On a scale of 1-100, he was a 200. We went to places we never dreamed of. Monasteries in the desert, grottos in the north, fabulous out of the way restaurants, wheeling it off road...it was fabulous. When Moti says "your wish is my command", he means it as he catered to our every wish. On top of all this, he has relationships with everyone. From the ticket-takers to the bedouins in the desert, everyone knew him and loved him. We felt safe at all times and give him our highest recommendation. We not only found a great guide but also a great friend.

“Trip and Guide of a Lifetime”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

If it is possible to experience the depth of Israel in five days, Moti Barness is the one to teach you. He gave us the tour of a lifetime, answering every question in depth, not only filling but anticipating our every need. We are seniors but reasonably athletic, well-traveled, over-educated and passionately curious. Moti was guide, professor, entertainer and intrepid explorer, making long drives fly by anecdotes, not only about Israeli life but his own colorful past. He was notably sensitive to our spiritual wishes - not easy, since I am a devout but agnostic Christian eager to walk in Jesus' footsteps and my companion is a non-practicing Jew more interested in Biblical history. Thanks to Moti, our journey was intensely meaningful to us both, as well as great fun. It was the trip of our long and eventful lifetimes, and we nominate Moti for our "most memorable character".
Note: our visit was in early June, before the current hostilities broke out. Moti was honest about the difficulties, but also even-handed in discussing them. We petted Bedouin flocks, crossed with friendly Palestinians into Bethlehem, took smiling photos with Israeli soldiers. As an ex-major in the army, Moti may not be available now for tourists. We can only pray for the safety of this beautiful land, precious to all religions.

“Phenomenal israel tour guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

I recently hired Morris Tzemach as a tour guide during my visit to Israel. I have visited Israel many times before and hired other guides but this experience was exceptional. Morris is a very knowledgeable and experienced guide who makes the day interesting and a true learning experience. He knows the whole of israel inside and out and can offer his expertise in all areas of Israel. He has a special talent for delicious local cuisine and can take you to the best restaurants israel has to offer. I highly recommend Morris as a guide and I look forward to hiring him again on future trips to Israel.

“Visit of the Galilee with Morris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Morris has an extensive knowledge of the Galilee as only a native can. From a gourmet breakfast prepared by a chef in a moshav, to a delicious dinner in an Arab restaurant in Nazareth, Morris makes you discover local people and their stories. We visited historic places, religious places, and traditional ways of life that are disappearing in the modern age. Morris's love and respect for this land and its diverse communities makes you understand a little better the complex reality of Israel.

“Excellent large group guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

I am the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Andrews University. I accompanied the 29 day 2014 Bible Lands Tour which had 39 college students and toured Turkey, Egypt and Israel. Morris excellently guided our large group for 8 days in Israel taking us all around Jerusalem, to Masada and points on the Dead Sea to the Galilee, to the north, to Nazareth and Carmel, and along the Mediterranean coast. Morris always knew his stuff and a great amount of detail at every single sight. He is a gentle person who was amazingly patient with our group and accommodated to its needs and unexpected requests. He is a guide I highly recommend for not just the small groups he usually guides, but also for large groups as well.
