This is truly feel-good shopping.

You are purchasing quality items AND supporting an important social program.

I have been coming here since the early 80s -- and guess what? They never run out of ideas. There is always something new and different to catch my eye. And the prices are very fair.

Find souvenirs and gifts for everyone on your list.

Nestled in a charming cove, Yad LaKashish is an inspired, holy and brilliant social program. I was moved to tears and want to create one here in the states. The tour and people who work there were delightful. We loved all the beautiful gifts we purchased and feel great about contributing. I went to their website when I got home to purchase more!

The dignity and care for these elderly is amazing. Their craftsmanship displayed in the gift shop is beautiful The institution is headed by a thoughtful, wonderful visionary - Nava Ein-Mor -- who does so much with very little. The diverse poputlation (from many cultures, countries and experiences) make it such a worthwhile place to visit -- over and over and over again. We go once a year.

I have gone here for years and still find it to be one of the most special places in Jerusalem. If you are with a group, you are welcomed in to watch elderly people working with metals, neddlework, the bookbindery. The quality of craftsmanship is amazing by any standards; the finished products in the gift shop reflect the level if dedication in the work. A must see.
