Owner description: The most panoramic view of Jerusalem, together with the Judean Desert, this is the perfect place to end the #99 bus tour, especially at the twilight hour, when the light gives real meaning to the description "Jerusalem of Gold."

The view of Jerusalem from the promenade is one of the best you can find in the city, and the walk around is delightful.

“Great Views of the Old City”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2014

The Haas Promenade offers great views of the Old City of Jerusalem and is worth the visit; especially if you can go early in the morning or late in the day with the sun rising or setting. A beautiful spot.

Very well done, beautiful views of the city. Large plaza for everyone to enjoy. There was an exhibit of globes painted by artists on different effects regarding global warming. Excellent job!

“Haas Promenade and Sherover Plaza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2013

Jerusalem has indescribably beautiful vistas, and this may be the best of them. Go at dusk or nighttime - the old city with the golden Temple Mount Dome of the Rock will be about a mile and a half in front of you, behind the Arab area of Abu Tor. You can see the Mount of Olives on the right along with many East Jerusalem villages.

Families can walk down to valley thru winding paths - there is a tot lot/playground along the way

“a lovely walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2013

We had never been here in all our visits to Jerusalem. Its lovely park-like surroundings give onto incredible views of Jerusalem. We happened to visit when there was some kind of large Christian gathering with hundreds of people from all over South America attending a kind of pep rally on the lawns. This gave the experience a bit of a twist over what one might normally experience here, but it was certainly interesting to hear the motivational speeches in Spanish over the loudspeakers. It made us realize that Jerusalem really is a place where those other than Jews find meaning. The paths along the promenade made for a nice walk away from the bustle of the city. We definitely recommend a visit here.
