From the Hotel it is very easy to go back and forth Jerusalem cause it's on one of the main avenues. The lobby is very spacious and the personnel are so kind. Parking in front of the Hotel is almost impossible but there's a reserved parking. The restaurant is pretty sad in looking but the food is good. The two small swimming pools on the 6th floor are very nice. Rooms are confortable and clean. Free wifi is provided as for air conditioning. 15 minutes by feet from the Old City and the Western Wall. 16$ or 76 schekel for an iPad rental with navigation apps to guide you around the Holy City. A very good stay!

Just a couple of blocks distance from the Old City, this hotel offers great value! Rooms were clean and spacious, hospitality was exceptional, you really can't beat the value!!
It is 1/ block away from the new light rail in Jerusalem too! and, it is a newer hotel!!!!!
Pool is gorgeous and the food was delicious!!!

I would stay here again in a minute!!

We had a satisfactory stay with two toddler children in a reasonable size family room, thankfully facing inwards. Make sure of that when booking as an outside room could be very noisy. The location is noy as central as I had been led to believe which wouldn't matter if we were adults only but children tire easily.

The panoramic views from the roof-top pool were a delight whilst the breakfast, a speciality in all Israeli hotels, was wide ranging and of good quality. Enough to keep you going all day and then some.

The staff were helpful and friendly but overall I felt this was an hotel for groups so not really my scene.

First of all, the pool is absolutely beautiful. When we were there, it was not crowded. It's on the roof, a lovely long rectangle, and surrounded by the roofs of Jerusalem, a real panoramic view. This alone made the place special for me. The rest of it was fine. Breakfast, as usual plentiful and good in Israel; service---no problem. Room---fine, and clean. No complaints.

This hotel is 10mins walk from the Old City. Room was clean and had kettle etc. Breakfasts were fine with a choice of omelettes or fried eggs and loads of other choices. Dinners were very good
Staff were helpful and overall a very pleasant stay for 4 nights. As we were out all day we didn't use other facilities but they were catered for.

Good Points
Hotel is well situated for the old town - about 10-15 minute walk
Reception / lobby area excellent - impressive looking
Bedrooms good - only downside is that they supply a kettle, but if you want coffee, tea, sugar or whitener - they do not supply any, you have to buy from reception - real penny pinching !
Bedroom housekeeping excellent

Bad Points
Dining Room - AWFUL - Worst I have ever come across
The garden courtyard area is being used as a temporary dining room as existing dining room is inadequate in size. The courtyard is complete with a tarpaulin roof supported by 4x2 timbers and unpainted plywood. Temporary lighing is strung across the whole area - it looks and feels like a builders yard

You want a drink - no such thing as service at your table - you have to queue up to pay for your drink. One day no such thing as chilled white wine - warm - take it or leave it.
No waiters assigned to your table - you want water or coffee, then you have to call out for a waiter
Food choice very limited for a big hotel, buffet servery area is cramped and lots of people queueing to get to the food

We stayed as part of a large group Sept. 8-11

Swimming pool and surrounding area woefully inadequate for the size of hotel

Based on the dining room alone , this is never a 4 star hotel. How do they get 4 star ?????

As said. Bedrooms - good, location - good, housekeeping - excellent, reception - impressive, dining room - worst ever seen - dreadful

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are quitest

We stayed at the Grand Court last week for four nights as part of an organised tour.

It is clearly geared up to cope with the trade brought about by large organised tour groups. The public areas were okay. There's a smallish pool and terrace on the rooftop of the lobby. It appeared to be largely occupied by excited and noisy Israeli children so we gave it a miss. A nice touch were the sets of luggage scales in each lift lobby. Lifts were good and entirely adequate. There is a piano bar in the lobby. It rather lacks any atmosphere and has strange opening hours with draft beer being unavailable on the Shabbat. There's also a souvenir shop in the lobby. Another nice touch is soft drinks offered at the entrance as we arrived.

Food is served at a buffet which sadly proved to be a bunfight due to the sheer numbers of other guests. The fare is adequate although clearly cooked to a budget. We would have hoped for more vegetables although salads were good. Bread was sometimes stale and we saw the buffet staff packing unused bread rolls back into large plastic bags, ready for the next meal time. There is clearly not enough seating area available in the main dining room so the outside terrace area has been made over with a makeshift temporary tarpaulin roof to serve as an added dining area. The wooden props all around made it all feel like eating in a building site.

Rooms were adequate for size and levels of accommodation. It was disconcerting to find a strong room, complete with air filtration plant and escape ladders. It was an internal shelter located just a few doors away from our room. This brought home to us the fragility of the Israeli political situation.

Location is not bad at all. The hotel is situated about five minutes by foot from the Damascus Gate of the Old City. There's a tram stop nearby so it is well connected for tourism. There are several other large hotels in the immediate vicinity. The front desk were very helpful with local maps and directions.

WiFi is provided free of charge and inevitably it became a little congested from time to time. This is a major plus in our view.

Would we stay there again? Most definitely. It's entirely adequate. The staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel is very well located. The only thing holding us back from five blobs are the hordes of other tourists, the strange opening hours in the bar and the budget fare at the buffet.

Hope this is helpful.

Room Tip: Go for a room that overlooks the internal courtyard. The other outward facing rooms can be noisy wit...
