We were very pleased with our stay at the Grand Court hotel for one night in March 2014.
The reception was efficient and friendly and the room spacious with comfortable beds, good linens and a nice bathroom.
The bathroom vanity has plenty of room and the shower is very hot and powerful.
The Wi-Fi is free and worked great everywhere.
The breakfast buffet , which was included, has a great variety , from an omelet and waffle station to a huge selection of cheeses, salads, yogurts, cereal, breads and pastries.
I was very impressed with how helpful the manager was when we asked if he could arrange for a special food for a toddler.
They did everything possible including filling two bottles with soup so we could have it for later.
The hotel is a short cab ride from
the old city and very close to the American Colony.

This hotel chain is one of the best in Israel and Tel Aviv. The room is big and clean. Good variety of breakfast and dinner. The service is good. It has a very good computer corner for the gust to use ,it is free of charge. From the hotel turn right and walk about 200 meter, you can reach a train station and get to the city and central bus station for all part of Israel. One way ticket cost 6.9 shekels.(US 2 dollars) To the Old City is about 20 minutes walk. People in Israel are very friendly and very helpful if you have a problems.
I stayed for 6 nights.

Room Tip: high floor is quieter

This hotel is quite nice and clean with a nice variety of breakfast In the dining room. There is a good and free wifi connection available in the rooms and lobby.
There is a pool and gym in the hotel but we didn't use these facilities. However each time we passed the swimming pool there was virtually no one in the pool everyone. So it may have been either closed or just no one swims there!

When we checked in a member of staff called Bahaa recommended the Bethlehem excursion to us. Saying we get transport to and from the hotel to Bethlehem with a private your guide showing us around. This cost us $150.
However we seriously regretted paying this much because the "tour" literally lasted about 5-8 minutes in the cathedral before we were ushered into a gift shop for 20 minutes. You can tell that these hotels, drivers, tour guides and shop owners have a deal with each other to get tourists into their stores and spend money. We would have been better off finding our own transport to Bethlehem and staying as long or as little as we wanted. With the taxi driver waiting for us outside the shop we felt we had to go bank to the hotel so he wouldn't wait too long. So for that anoint of money I only stayed in Bethlehem for 5 minutes. Rip off!!!

Then the same receptionist tried to get us to take a taxi to our next hotel in the Dead Sea area. Saying the coaches from the bus station are bad and unreliable. Which is not the case because we took a coach from tel aviv to Jerusalem with no problems. The coach cost us 44 shekels each whereas the taxi would have been in excess of 500 shekels!

The good thing about the hotel is it's free shuttle service to old town and Jaffa gate. This leaves at 10am and 1pm. However be weary of the drivers because once he dropped us at Jaffa gate he signalled to a shop owner to come out and try to get us into his shop! They are all in it together to get money out of you. We just told the shop owner we were going to see the wailing wall. He just kept saying come into his shop and we must see it.

We walked back to our hotel from
Jaffa gate twice which only took about 15 minutes and saved us a taxi fare. Overall the hotel is nice with clean rooms and good location to attractions.

Spacious room, free wifi (rare in this country) and not far for a car ride from the old quarter.
Serivce is bad international standard but not bad at all compare to other israeli hotels we stayed throughout our trip, of coz cant compare to those 4 season etc that we are used to. Main downside for us is that the food choices are not too great. nothing worthwhile nearby the check out at night though.

Stayed at the Grand Court for 4 nights while in Jerusalem. The hotel is nice and modern. The food is nice, it can get a little sickening when they serve similar food constantly especially as a tourist who's not used to the kind of pallet. The desserts are exceptional especially because they contain no dairy. The rooms are nice but the pillows are absolutely HORRIBLE. I had to use the spare blanket as a pillow because they were so flat and uncomfortable and they only give one pillow. Other than that, my stay was pleasant and I would return
