We stayed here for a week over Passover. Excellent location, on a quiet side street right off Keren Hayesod (right near the pricier Dan Panorama and Inbal). The hotel has the warmest, most helpful staff I have ever encountered anywhere. Rooms are small, but the beds are very comfortable and the water-pressure (in the shower) is excellent. Breakfast buffet is tasty and plentiful. Dinner is available, and there are 3-4 good restaurants and cafes right nearby.

Room Tip: Neither the standard nor the deluxe rooms can accommodate more than 2 people. Junior suites are a ni...

NICE staff and they try to make their guests happy. The rooms are tight.. but that is pretty much the way they are in all the Jerusalem Hotels. The breakfast is fine and they kindly offer water and juice complimentary in the afternoon. All in all this is well valued.

The walking distance to Jaffa gate and the Old City is about 15-20 minutes, which is very convenient. The hotel staff was friendly and the room standard OK, but not remarkable.

We stayed here as part of a Gate 1 tour. The hotel was quiet and the breakfast buffet was well above average for Israeli hotels. Our room had 2 single beds moved together. They were comfortable and the room was fine. Hotel is a little dated.

We wanted to be within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and this is it. Cross Keren Hayesod and descend thro Yemen Moshe(Just below the Montefiore windmill) and the artists colony to the Jaffa Gate and Old City or new Mamilla mall. Also 10 minute stroll to the German Colony - not to be missed. Or continue along Keren Hayesod which becomes King George. Six minutes from the Jerusalem Theatre and President's House. At a pinch you could go up Jabotinsky and the down and on to the Knesset and newly reappointed Israel Museum. The Jerusalem market called Machaneh Yehudah is also walkable and not to be missed.

Room Tip: Mendel Mocher Seforim(Mendel the Bookseller) is a short quiet street linking Jabotinsky and Keren Ha...

Stayed there 4 nights as part of Gate 1 tour. Very small bedroom but the beds were comfortable. Very small lobby area but the staff were friendly. Great location and had a fabulous breakfast with a piano player each morning. Stay here only if you get a good price.

[1] the hotel lobby could use some modernizing. it does look a *bit* dated, but once you experience the service, staff, and rooms, it's A-OK in my book! =)
