“Average...tiny rooms...but good location”
Reviewed 10 June 2013

Front desk unfriendliness was expected,so we weren't disappointed.
Nice touch was cookies and juice in lobby.
first impressions of room...very tiny and not entirely clean, but acceptable...extremely friendly and obliging housekeeper.
buffet breakfast was outstanding...in both quality and quantity.
Big disapppointment was staying for Chag and being charged (and stayed ) for two nights, when other people were given the option of one night with a no-charge-super-late checkout...wrote to hotel politely afterwards, but they were unhelpful and fobbed me off.

That being said, we are sorry that you did not receive the reception that you should have. I will forward your review to the staff as they are trained to provide helpful and friendly service. Additionally, your experience with the rooms not being clean is abnormal and will be checked on as well. We hope you will give us another chance next time you are in Jerusalem.

My elderly mother and I spent two nights at this hotel during the Israel Festival. It is well situated just off the main street - so that it was a quite and pleasant stay. The de lux room was clean and we were welcomed with a platter of fruit, a large bottle of water and a box of chocolates, there was a mini fridge and kettle with an assortment of teas and coffees. The beds were comfortable. The only draw back was that since there were no rooms with showers instead of baths - my mother had difficulty in getting in and out of the bath tub as there was not a convenient hand rail. On the other hand we were very happy with the breakfast array.

The room was excellent very spacious and comfortable (we were a family with a small child in the junior suite). The hotel's location was great - within walking distance of several restaurants and attractions, and also convenient for transportation - both by car and by public transport. There was live music both in breakfast and in the evenings in the lobby, which was very delightful.

However, the service in general was not good: we had, upon invitation, verified that there were gluten-free options in the breakfast - both with the hotel reception and with the booking representative. However, the staff had little to no idea about what gluten-free means, and I had nearly nothing to eat. Also, the selection was rather slim, and the quality disappointing. We had also received bad advice from the reception about attraction location (sent us to the wrong place) and suggestions on where to park (fairly distant, and twice as expensive as the nearer parking lots).
The hotel also made promises that they couldn't keep - small things which we wouldn't even care about had they not "marketed" them - like champagne at breakfast (didn't happen), a view from the roof (was closed all week), etc.

Room Tip: I would definitely recommend the junior suite.

Spent one night there, and wish it was more. This was an oasis at the very heart of a busy and exciting city. The bed was good, rioom size fair for the center of a city, extremely clean and pleasantly furnished. We (age 65+) only felt a little insecure when standing in the bath, which FELT a bit slippery.
The management remembered those little touches that make all the difference - a large bottle of water by the bedside, and a box of chocolates on the desk to welcome us.
There was very pleasant music in the foyer.
There was a good selection for breakfast

Nice and quiet place but not recommended if you come with your own car because of terrible parking problems.
Small but nice rooms. Matrasses are too soft and you may wake up with a back ache....
Sink in bathroom too high - recommended only for tall people.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the backyard are quiter

Spent 9 nights here. There is a lot of walking in the city with many things to do on foot. Great location for walking. The guide that works out of this location, Charlie, is great. The breakfast, wonderful with a huge variety of foods to meet all the different ethnic visitors tastes. The staff, superb! Knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely patient especially the front desk. They traded 1 night for Prima Galil for us. The security, great. The roof top patio very spacious but could use more shade. Did not eat dinner here.

Room Tip: We stayed in 3 different rooms and locations in the hotel and all were good rooms.
