“Great Food, Poor Service”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

Very good food. Very poor service.
Lobster Ravioli and lambs brains favorite dishes.
Staff very nice people, but appear to not to have any experience or training in restaurant service.

“not quite a dream in the sky”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

this restaurant is situated in a quiet street not far from king david street. it is rather small, but cosy.
The staff is very friendly. Compaired to other (italian) restaurants in Jerusalem this is certainly a good choice. The food is reasonable without being outstanding if compared to Italian restaurants in Europe. Choice of wines is ok without more. Prices are certainly reasonable.
Also non-kosher food which is a relief for on Jewish people visiting Jerusalem.
So, if you are looking for some other food than the traditional offering in Jerusalem, Cielo is an option.

“Don't miss this (non-kosher) restaurant”
Reviewed 13 August 2013 via mobile

Friends recommended this after returning from a trip. We are so glad we ate here. Everyone had a great meal. The salads are large, the goose liver ravioli, lamb ravioli and gnocchi were excellent. The "tournedos" of beef are huge pieces of fillet cooked to perfection. The "Chef" version was tender, flavorful and delicious. We had family members from 10 to 65 and everyone had a meal they raved about. They also provided an appetizer to taste gratis that we all enjoyed.

Our server was attentive and she was very friendly. It is a small restaurant so you probably want to book a reservation. Some nights it fills up and some nights there are tables available for drop-ins. Enjoy!

“Possibly the tastiest eye fillet I've ever had!”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

Unpretentious looking small restaurant and to be honest I thought the concierge had sent us to his "Uncles" as opposed to the outstanding Italian he had promised.

Boy was I wrong!

I've eaten a lot of steak at a lot of specialist steak restaurants all over the world and whilst this wasn't the best piece of meat ever (not that there was anything wrong with it) it was right up there with one of the tastiest thanks to the amazing truffle and porcini mushroom sauce.

My Gorgonzola Gnocchi entree was delicious too.

And the Shiraz style wine recommended by the Sommelier, from the Golan Heights capped off a perfect meal, it really was outstanding.

Highly recommend this place for a visit, especially for that amazing sauce.
