Located in a nice neighbourhood, the Yemenite quarter. The room was pretty small, but for a budget hotel, we cannot not expect more. Clean, hard mattress, helpful staff and a roof terrasse. The breakfast is offered at a nice café close by. Would recommend this for those looking close to their budget.
By the way, there is no boutique..

Great Value ! Apart from the excellent "Yellow Cat" and Papa's restaurants just a block away, the charming coffee shop two blocks away honors the hotel's voucher. Allenby Street, a block away, itself is slightly depressing but has good, friendly internet cafes. I choose not to travel with a computer. Carmel Market is a treat. Just three blocks to one end of this tumultuous array of fruits, vegetables, meats, clothing, jim cracks, and spices. A wonderful souk !
Desk clerks are eager, friendly students. Beds are very firm which I happen to prefer. Rooms 103 (tiny) and 104 ( modestly larger) makes perfect pieds a terre. Both are over the bar. Loud conversations in the street may disturb light sleepers. AC works fine provided it is not set lower than 22° C. We do not like the glitz of the David - Galileo's rackety-packety qualities in its vibrant neighborhood fit our style like a pair of comfortable, worn shoes.

My husband and I stayed at the Galileo for 2 nights. Our room was comfortable, despite being very small, and was quite pretty. It would have been better if the shower was a bit bigger, but this did make for a few laughs. The staff at the Galileo were excellent and very thorough about answering our questions. The hotel has an excellent location for going to Banana Beach, exploring the market, and finding great restaurants and bars. The rooftop deck is a great place to hang out for while at the end of a night out. The breakfast was the one aspect of our stay that was somewhat disappointing. We received vouchers to a nearby cafe where we were able to pick up one pastry and a coffee each. The food was great, but too small, and the cafe staff were rude.

This hotel is a small one, but its just what you need when you're at Tel Aviv. You normally won't spend a lot of time inside the room, which in this hotel is very well distributed.

The location is pretty good with a 5 minute walk down to the beach and right near a major street. Its a bit expensive, but hell ... all Tel Aviv is!

I spent 3 nights at Galileo Hotel and would always go there again! My room was pretty small but considering the price very reasonable. The staff at the reception is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is one of the best in Tel Aviv, cute bars and great restaurants just round the corner. I definitely recommend this place!

Galileo was a very nice surprise. Lots of care are paid to the details of the rooms that are decorated with reproductions of classic paintings. They put a little tea-kitchen and even a little Fridge in your room. We even had a little Jacuzzi (ok, it's rather small but we did appreciate the concept).
Beach is at a 7 min walk, and its surrounded by all the shops you may need.
ah and the breakfast was another classy touch, coffee and croassant at a nearby organic shop.
I do appreciate when a business tries to add a nice touch. The most suprising thing is that it isn't really expensive!!

We were at the Galileo for 3 nights- my sister and her sister-in-law were there for 2 nights. The location is fantastic-- especially for the Purim Holiday. Our "cab" driver had a hard time finding it; he was basically a guy at the airport who drove us in his car then demanded 4 x what it should have cost-- don't pay ANYMORE than $30 one way for a car! A real taxi from Jaffa was cheap and he found it right away- and took us to the airport the next day with his brother in another cab and both cabs were only $50!
The hotel is small and old- the jacuzzi rooms are not worth it they are old and basically a corner bathtub- but the balcony is nice. The rooms are small and the outlets fried 6 converters! 2 in our room and 4 in my sister's room. Our room was at the top of the stairs (no elevator) and hers at the end of the hall- her room didn't have a balcony but it was much larger. The bar next door is great and the neighborhood I thought great, although when my husband ventured out after I went to bed and got lost- I went to find him and the lady at the front desk said, "this isn't the most luxurious neighborhood- be careful!" Luckily I found him quickly, but we never felt unsafe- even out late into the night. Israel is an awesome country and this was a fine place for a few nights so long as you aren't expecting any type of luxury except a tv and bed. The wifi didn't work. The staff was nice.
