I recently stayed at the Diaghilev for 3 nights, and my daughter returned there for an additional night after an interim trip elsewhere in Israel. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly, English speaking, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. Anat in particular helped us tremendously- they agreed to hold onto a large bag we did not need for several days of travel, and had it ready for my daughter when she returned. The rooms were generous in size, clean and very attractive. Beautiful artwork throughout the hotel. We will 100% return for another stay.

The Diaghilev is a boutique hotel in a quiet yet central location in Tel Aviv. It is a highly renovated Bauhaus building with a superb class architecture both in and out. The rooms are aesthetic, spacious, and include a kitchenette, modern furniture and decor. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Parking place is right at the hotel (a must in Tel Aviv), and many points of interest are within a walking distance. It has been our second stay there, and by no means the last. The Diaghilev is highly recommended for tourists who want to enjoy what Tel Aviv has to offer without staying in large alienated hotels...

If you plan to visit Tel Aviv, this amazingly welcoming hotel is a must stay. Location is great; rooms are lovely, spacious and clean. But what sets Diaghliev apart is its staff. We spent a total of five nights- four at the beginning of our trip and one at the end. From the moment you enter the lobby adorned with interesting pieces of art, you are greeted by one or more extraordinary staff who immediately offers you a glass of wine and helps you get settled in. It is like coming home to family. When we left, it was hugs all around. Diaghilev will make your vacation as special as the sites you visit and activities you do. What an absolutely very special hotel.

My stay at the Diaghilev was smashing. We had a beautiful, spacious room with a balcony in this attractive house for a more than reasonable price. And it's perfectly located in town. A few steps, and one is already at the Sderot Rothschild, the avenue where you find wonderful Cafés and Restaurants. But most of all: The staff in the Diaghilev was extremely kind and helpful - just great! Whenever I had a problem in town, I could call the hotel, and Miriam Goldstein from the Diaghilev gave me a warmhearted support like a personal assistant. Absolutely fabulous! I will definitely return to the Diaghilev!

The Diaghilev was recommended by a close friend, and the reason why is now very clear: professional, helpful and friendly staff, large and elegant suites, great decor throughout (including lots of modern art and carpets), and a great location very close to fashionable Rothschild Blvd and great restaurants, cafes and bars there and in the area. All in all, I was very impressed and I will certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: The suites are great, and are reasonably priced.

We booked at this hotel based on reviews and the location as we decided to stay in the heart of Tel Aviv rather than the beach hotels which we always have chosen. Our arrival was exceptionally friendly and the staff very informative. It was a pleasure having a large well appointed living room and kitchenette. The bedroom and bathroom was adequate. There was a better variety of English TV channels. The disappointment was that after a long day of touring we arrived back to find that the suite had not been serviced and that the bath water was luke warm for the second night. (there is a time switch on the geyser) The staff did try to sort this out. We were awakened by the garbage removal trucks early mornings so I would recommend a room on a higher floor. The apartment type layout makes it perfect for long term visits.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor which would be less noisy.

We chose the diaghilev hotel for the first 3 days of our honeymoon because of its great location, interesting concept and the reviews on trip advisor. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful on our arrival amd even toasted our health with a welcome cold beer. our suite was of ample size with great views over the city and a living room to relax in. The building is ageing and a little rough around the edges, but decorated well and brought to life with lots of intersting original art. Our only negative feedback on the room is the well functioning but noisy air conditioning unit waking us in the night. We opted out of the breakfast after day 1 as the options were limited and a number of fantastic breakfast restaurants/cafes surround the hotel. Overall very pleased and would recommend, but perhaps not for those looking for a shiny, sanitised experience of the city

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Diaghilev is a bohemian boutique hotel that offers an extraordinary and exceptional cultural experience intensified by an excellent personal service. The hotel features an art gallery exhibiting over 500 artworks that change every 6 months, unique and mostly radical decor items, a collection of hand made rugs from all over the universe, most of which are ancient and therefore reflect the aged cultures they originate from. The Diaghilev has recently established a HUB for Start-ups and integrates a wide activity in such fields as design, fashion and technology. The uniqueness of the hotel brought it into prominence among internationally acknowledged artist visiting Tel Aviv and the world of technology and start-up. Many employees of the leading corporations in the world choose the Diaghilev as their base in Tel Aviv. Built in the purest Bauhaus the Diaghilev invites its guests to experience a World Cultural Heritage site rich of hundreds of Bauhaus buildings and get a taste of the “White City.” Our uncommon nocturnal concept was designed taking account of a recent scientific research that showed evidence that black beddings cause intensive production of Melatonin hormone, which results in deeper sleep, stronger immune system and increased anti-aging effect. The Diaghilev is an eco-friendly hotel, committed to a continually expanding list of operating practices that aim to maintain minimal environmental impact. The toiletries at the Diaghilev are of outstanding quality. They are produced from natural materials created from plants cultivated for this purpose in the hills of Jerusalem. These products are produced and packaged at a small factory that employs people with disabilities and integrates them into the labor market. Our creativity-support concept lead to the establishment of the HUB - a shared work environment that is more than a physical workplace for creative entrepreneurs: It is designed to nurture a community in which creators will be able to collaborate with one another in order to produce innovative projects and initiatives. ... more   less
