“Nice for dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 November 2013

Nice calm restaurant next to the Allenby St. There is a very warm ambient inside, like family place. Wine was delicious, food was really fresh and good. Music not loud, so nice to sit at evening near the bar with glass of wine and warm talk with a friend.

“Our best meal in Israel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2013

When my husband wanted to take me away from the tourist restaurants on the beach to some place on a street I couldn't pronounce that he'd found in the Lonely Planet Israel guide I was a little skeptical. Little did I know we were bound for the best meal I had during a one-month visit to Israel! Everything we had there from the bread to the appetizer (polenta with some of the freshest vegetables I've ever tasted in a restaurant) to the main course (fish with mussels in a tomato-garlic sauce) to dessert (a light and not-too-sweet rendition of chessecake) was top-notch, We ended up chatting with the waitress and then one of the two owners and then the other owner came out to talk. All in all, it was a fabulous evening. Though the neighborhood is a little funky (we had to pass a strip club to get there from the beach), the ambience of the restaurant was comfortable and attractive. Portions were large (two of us shared one appetizer and one main course) and service was excellent. If you're looking for a memorable meal and want to take a break from the touristy haunts, Tchernikovsky 6 is a great choice.

“Excellent meal and friendly service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2013

Very good Tel Aviv world food eaten on a street terrace. The young lady server was both very friendly and discreet. Price-wise, it is average for Tel Aviv with a glass of wine at around €9. Although we didn't stay around, there was jazz music in the evening.

“Never fails!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2013

This is certainly my favorite resraurant in Tel Aviv.
Located in the hystoric cozy center of Tel Aviv serves modern food in warm atmosphere.
Try the Portugeze roast, Hungarian Krumpli (potatos), great herings, various fish filets and home made desetrs.

“Nice for a Romantic evening”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2013

Pros: very nice decor, excellent and extensive wine list, friendly and knowledgable service.
Cons: wine menu far better than the food menu, menu limited and uninspired, dishes not exactly French, starters and wines too expensive.
