“Top business hotel”
Reviewed 5 December 2013

Large spacious rooms. I was in the Club level. Views spectacular. The service was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble and done always with a smile. Busy with conferences. There were many business people, not so many holiday makers because it is the beginning of winter. However, the pool area looked fabulous and overlooked the ocean. In particular, I was very impressed with 2 employees, namely Robbie and Martina from the Club lounge on the 24th floor. Both couldn't do enough for me and proved extremely efficient.
Location was excellent near the ocean and in easy walking distance to the Carmel Market which leads on to Nahalat Benyamin which has fabulous markets Tuesday and Friday each week. The old port has been converted into a shopping and quality restaurant area, really buzzes and great food offered and very atmospheric. Wonderul malls to explore such as the Ramat Aviv Mall which is very luxurious and Dizengoff Centre for "everything".

Room Tip: Club Room has entrance to Club Lounge on 24th level. However, Executive Rooms have the entrance to...

Dear TJeanette,

Thank you so much for the positive and friendly review. I will be sure to pass down your comments to Robbie and Martina and we're thrilled to hear our staff provided you with nothing but excellent service. Our close proximity to the Carmel Market, the beach and Old Jaffa is what sets us apart from other Tel Aviv hotels; glad you agree!

We hope to welcome you back to our hotel soon!

Best,

Lauren

- Hotel was very comfortable and location was superb. Staff was extrememly helpful, especially one of the doorman named Yan.
- I was surprised that wifi internet is not included with the price and the mini bar prices were a little high.
- All in all i recommend this hotel

Some other reviews said the rooms had been refurbished recently - mine didn't look like it. Reasonable, but a bit tired - the desk was fairly battered, and if you sat on the desk chair your legs do not fit under the desk so perhaps not a match. However the room was clean, the bed was large and comfortable, and the shower powerful and hot. The service was generally excellent. The breakfast buffet is ok - if they would only lay tables outside when people want to sit there, and learn that you need boiling water to make tea then things would improve. All in all a bit expensive for what they deliver.

Hotel room was the nicest we had while in Israel. Pros - great location and view of the sea; incredible breakfast buffet; clean rooms and comfortable beds; nice lobby and facilities and they have a standard US plug by the desk. Cons: buying beverages is very expensive; bathroom was so-so as we had a problem with the shower drain and no working electrical outlet.

I have been to this hotel on many occasions. The hotel has recently renovated its rooms. The rooms are very spacious and so are the bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable. The sea view rooms are especially the ones that I like because of the. Awesome view of the sea and the sunset looks amazing. The Club lounge at the level 24 is excellent in terms of the service, variety of food and beverages and it remains available through out the day, can't be compared to any other hotel I have been to. The Inca bar at the lobby level is good place to have fun for sports loving people. The breakfast has wide variety and is incomparable too. Surely it's a top notch hotel in a vibrant city.

I had booed this hotel as I am a Platinum Ambassador and thus hoped to receive recognition as an Elite Member. Sadly the hotel is very run down and tired and the room and corridors are in dire need of a refurbishment. We arrived late after an horrific journey from the airport arranged by the hotel - the taxi driver spent the entire journey on his mobile, iPod, printing receipts in fact anything but driving carefully! Check-in was nothing special and we were not shown to our room. The room, which was meant to have been refurbished recently, was cold and very damp feeling, and was one of the most drab and depressing rooms I had seen. The walls had been 'patched' painted very badly and the bed looked shabby and broken down. I spoke with Reception and we were shown another room on a Club Floor which was tired looking, but at least warmer. The bathroom was better in that it had a walk in shower, but was very rundown, and not clean, with long hairs on the floor and just a 'grubby' feel. Sleep quality was not good and we were woken early by doors banging along the corridor.

I was shown what was described as a Corner Suite, but this was no better, and was a very small pokey room, just divided into two rooms, with inadequate storage space and an unattractive view.

The Club Lounge was ok, and food offered was of good quality. Staff were kind and attentive but the lounge was very busy and full of noisy guests - not the hotel's fault but did not make for a good ambience.

Porterage was very poor and your cases were literally thrown around with no care and attention. We had a particular problem with our luggage on the day we were due to check out, and I am sure this could have been avoided if staff demonstrated more care and attention to detail, and took time to check guest's luggage before they left.

Whilst some of the staff were genuinely kind and caring, sadly this was not seen throughout, with some staff being quite unhelpful and not understanding what was being asked of them, or simple disinterested.

Whilst the ambience of the hotel was drab and depressing, I think the experience could have been better if staff had been more consistent.

I understand that some of the rooms are going to be refurbished from December onwards, but I regret to say even after the refurbishment, I would not consider returning to this hotel as it is simple too large and impersonal and lacks any sense of luxury of warmth.
