The hotel is very nice. Located across the beach, overlooking the old and modern city. Very close to Yaffo old port. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is kosher, and very rich in offer. Service on the other hand is very slow. I had wait for 5 to 10 minutes to get cutlery or coffee. Room was close to the elevator and you could hear it. The wifi is not included and too expensive, which is astonishing for a 5 star hotel since even some B&B's now offer it for free. Pool and gym are nice. Sauna is not included in room price and costs some 20$.
All in all, check for the room location before you check in but other from that, good hotel.

Beautiful Hotel close to Neve Tsedek and Jaffa. Nice amenities. Stayed for almost a week. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The common areas are attractive and the pool and proximity to the beach to Neve Tsedek, Jaffa, Nachalat Binyamin and Rothschild Boulevard make this property unique.

After being told this is one the most luxurious hotels in Tel Aviv, and having experienced true luxury across the globe, I was disappointed to arrive in the David Intercontinental to a rather 'station' like appearance with loud , screaming kids running in all directions. The rooms were not bad but no balconies. The pool was unbelievably squashed, with deckchairs placed like sardines next to each other. The pool restaurant rather reminded me of a fast food diner rather than what should be a civilised restaurant of a 5 star hotel. The shabbat dinners were held in the ball room since was the summer and so many people. Entrance for that was like pushing animals out of the way! The manner in which people behaved to get to dinner left a lot to be desired! The actual food was not too bad. Overall, I would not return to this hotel due to a lack of personal service and lack of personal space! (I'm sure at other times of the year and in low season, the hotel is much better!)

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us as it helps us learn where we can improve. We are sorry to hear that your vacation wasn't as relaxing as expected. August is our busiest time of the year, and even though we are one of the largest hotels in Tel Aviv, we do our best to individually cater to each of our guests.

The David Intercontinental hotel is wonderfully located in Tel Aviv. THe views of the beach are phenomenal. The pool and gym and spa are all state of the art and welcoming. There is a great little cigar bar on the main floor which makes a nice place for a night cap. It is well worth it to upgrade to the club floor and get access to the two executive lounges. A great place to get a snack or coffee pretty much any time of day or night. The staff in the exec lounges are friendly and helpful. It makes for a fast VIP check in and check out. Five minute walk to the center of town or to Jaffa. Wonderful to eat breakfast outside overlooking the ocean.

Room Tip: Get a high floor with an ocean view

The best thing about the hotel is its location. Having stayed there before I though it was the best option but afer having my 1 year old crawl a bit in the floor I realized that the carpet had not been cleaned probably in years as she was all black. Called and their solution was to put a sheet over the part of the carpet she crawled. Besides this experince the service was ok but not on par with any other Intercontinental I have stayed at.

This was a most disappointing hotel. Very dirty rooms (found hair in the bathtub when we got into our room and a blood stain on a supposedly clean towel), the carpet had sticky patches. Also the "instant service button" never worked. I had to wait for a few minutes before anyone picked up... so much for instant service. Service was slow, in room dining was very sub par standard, mini bar items were not replaced the next day. We requested for an evening turn down service one night and came back to find that they had only removed our dirty towels, and didn't replace with any fresh ones. They didn't clear the rubbish bins either. I will sadly not be returning.

I stayed there for one week during a conference. This was one of the worst experiences ever. This is never a multi star hotel. It is really old, etc. but especially the staff is unable. I talked about the hotel with many collegues at the conference and everyone had their own story e.g. having waited half an hour for a waiter (just to order) and being ignored, tables that were left an hour with the breakfast leavings of other guests (which leaded to a group of birds "attacking" all tables). Where do they find those people (staff). Still cannot believe it...
Also the service during the conference was so lousy. The interupted our workings every 10-15 just to look into the room and leave it afterwars... etc. But that is another story...
