Stayed there for a few days. There is a security check each time you enter the hotel. They look inside bags and have a wand that they scan you with but I rather have them take the extra security. The room was fine. I was surprised they did not have a refrigerator in the room but they have this mini vendor drink machine in the rooms. The room was clean and we had a great view of the beach. We tried to go through the restaurant at night but there was not an entry way and had to go back around. I did not find a large selection of restaurants and most of them were a little pricey. The staff was very helpful with setting up tours and getting ice for us. Staff was very professional,

Location: Excellent, the back dooor of the hotel is directly on the beach. Safe for families, especially for kids. Restaurants and activities are within 5 minutes of walking distance. Entire hotel staff are very professional and courteous. Lobby, rooms, pool, restaurant, workout equipment and other hotel services are clean, up to date and user friendly. I will return.....

Right on the beach with promenade outside so you can take a lovely walk along the front. Hotel reception and bar were clean and modern, bar staff were very polite and service was great. The from was a bit of a let down, the furniture looked like something out of a Florida villa in the 80's. The bathroom was clean but showing signs of wear and tear. Overall it was fine but just overdue a refurb to bring it up to date. Bed felt a bit lumpy.

Fantastic stay of 8 nights at this hotel. It was a leisure trip and we were able to enjoy all Tel Aviv had to offer from this great location. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Shout out to one of the most awesome managers of a hotel- YORAM HECHT! Hospitality and service is within the definition of his name.
Breakfast is beyond delicious and plentiful - even with an omelet station. All of the breakfast food is fresh. The indoor pool is a big plus as is the small hotel gym.
The lobby is maintained as well as all of the common areas. If any mess was there, it was because of slobby guests not the Renaissance staff.
Use this as your destination in Tel Aviv!

Checked in room 421 on Feb 25 for 2 nights coming here on a business trip. This hotel was booked by my business partner. Last time I will come here at the Renaissance. Old fashioned rooms with a cooking smell like someone is doing a barbecue next door. The ventilation system is screwed up. Cherry on the cake is the Internet connection price at 20$ a day in the room per device. This when you pay a crappy room (no tube) for 187 $. Frankly there are better choices in this wonderful city. The manager on duty has no commercial sense. He would have offered me internet and then he would have avoid this review ... But instead he only offered a 50% reduction underlining it's free in the lobby. Man we are in 2014.... Time to forget to charge Internet. I pay for a triple play 40$ a month at home with more band than you apparently have for your hotel ..... Anyway, beyond my understanding how people can be at times commercially so stupid and alienate frequent travelers. Worst is you would have charged my room 20$ more upfront, I would not have cared less. Just a matter of perception and as per the saying, perception is reality.

Please, if you read this Mr Manager whomever, dispense yourself of the standard response. " We care blabla and are so sorry about your bad experience." I know you don't care at all or well too late.

It's water below the bridge. You lost me and will make sure this Internet robbery is properly documented on our company Travel Tips blog. You just made yourself plenty of friends in a US 50 top listed company with more than 20.000 people. Good move and a great investment of yours. Greed never pays off on the long run.

Room Tip: Negotiate the internet upfront ...
