Stayed at the Renaissance for one week during Passover week and for the most part, enjoyed our stay. The negatives: rooms are small and need updating; lack of electric sockets so you needed to unplug a lamp and refrigerator to be able to charge our phones (no plugs in the bathroom either). The positives: right on the beach so you can go for a walk at any time; friendly and helpful staff (more follows); decent breakfast buffet that was included in the price.

After three restful nights, new neighbors moved to the room next door and they had a baby that cried throughout the night. We heard it as if it was coming from inside our room. We mentioned this to the front desk the next day and the manager immediately moved us to the club floor. There the room was slightly larger but more importantly, it was quiet. Greatly appreciated accommodating us.

Room Tip: All rooms have a terrace with sea view although some terraces are larger than others.

Located right on the beach this is a great place to stay in Tel Aviv. Begin and end the day with a walk or swim and then take in the city sights.
This is also a good location if you want to do day trips to the North for sight seeing without a lot of packing and unpacking. We traveled with our grown children and grandkids and everyone loved the hotel.

The staff is gracious; very helpful and recommendations turned out to be excellent.

We took a club room to have a place to get away from our kids (none allowed). The club serves free wine etc, and very ample snacks and dinner at 6 PM all complimentary. We used the club for the grown ups to rest a bit before taking the group out for dinner. Other guests had enough food to skip dinner

Overall a real winner. We can't wait to return

Stayed here on the last leg of my trip. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Great location. First room we were assigned had a broken toilet and a full minibar. Once they saw the toilet we were moved immediately. The second room had a working toilet and empty minibar. The public space is nice. The rooms are tired. Only one electric outlet for recharging phones, iPads etc. Unless you unplug something. The internet fee only allows one device. This should be per room not per device. They need to catch up. This hotel was ala carte. Pay for breakfast, internet etc. Others charge more in Telaviv and just include. If they updated the rooms and revised the internet policy, it's a gem. Staff makes the place. Well trained.

This was my first time in Tel Aviv, and by the time I left, I felt like a pro--thanks to the staff and accommodations. Perfect trip. The facilities are well kept, the staff is informative and respectful, and location is central--you can literally walk everywhere from the hotel!

For $325 this is absolutely the worst value in the Marriott brand.

1-Our room looks like something from the 1980s (maybe this is a commentary on all hotels in TLV and not just this one, but hotels that are creating profit centers by not reinvesting the proper capitol into their room product are ruining their brand value, the only decent hotel we've stayed at in this country was the Ritz-Carlton. It was only $25 more a night that this hotel). Literally, this room looks NOTHING like the photos online for the room we booked/selected. It like like a reject from the Golden Girls. I have no idea why they don't specify whether your room will have been a renovated room (or not) in online booking. Online it simply said the hotel was renovated in 2013 (not our room).

2-Ice?!?!? Every other Marriott I've been to has an ice machine on each floor (and an ice bucket in the room). This is a disappointment -- having to call for ice seems obnoxious (or like you're expected to tip each time).
