“Beautiful room, average service”

I traveled with 2 other couples. We all had Sea View rooms. The view is outstanding. I was placed on a separate floor from my friends in a smaller room and the bathroom was much smaller than theirs. I was not happy with the service at check in at all. I was supplied with a hair dryer and extension cord as there is no outlet in the bathroom and the supplied hair dryer on the wall is totally useless. The beds are not bad, but nothing compared to the King David in Jerusalem. Buffet breakfast is plentiful and very good.
On a separate note, if you are looking for a guide to take you around Israel, ours was outstanding. Danny Apelbom is charming, knowledgeable, caring and receptive to your needs. Dannyapelbom@gmail.com. I highly recommend him!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room. Mine was way at the end of the hall and smaller than most.

Fabulous return stay in Dan Tel Aviv for our family of four( parents, 2 kids in 20's). Superb hotel with spacious sea view room overlooking beach & gorgeous Mediterranean! Front desk very helpful ,all services were top notch. King David lounge was a plus with drinks& lite food always available. So welcoming & all amenities...Perfect location on the promenade, walking distance to all- terrific!
Also enjoyed our return stay in the Dan Panorama Jerusalem. Best location- close to everything! Loved being in the new wing- also delicious food, such amazing breakfasts at the Dans!

We stayed one night there recently. The suite has been OK even if a bit convolutely structured...
The location is nice , with a view to the Mediterranean sea and a close by beach
The service was average but not more
The breakfast had a diversified offering of good quality food

It's hard to beat the location-- on the see, and a short distance from everything. However, the service was practically inexistent, and borderline rude/bad when it did exist (looking at the very grumbly concierge). The room itself was quite comfortable, and the pool would have been perfect if the bottom hadn't been visibly quite dirty. The AC vents in the room were also very dirty (I don't usually check to see if they are dirty--the dust was just that noticeable). Housekeeping consisted in the bed being made (poorly) and the towels changed once a day. If that. The half-eaten, and definitely stale by then, complimentary pastries we received on the first day were left to rot on the suite's dining table for three days. Kind of unacceptable. If a belt or a pair of jeans were on the floor, they stayed on the floor. So the service was definitely not in line with the hotel's pricing, though the buffet was actually pleasant and the lounge downstairs also nice (though overpriced-- 2 G&Ts and a bottle of Perrier for $30 plus tip)

Once again I returned to the Dan Tel Aviv hotel. since it was saturday I was told I can do check in at 17:00. I got to the hotel around 18:30, and was told by the reception manager that the hotel is fully booked and no one is yet checked out, and if its okay that I will get the room around 20:00. of course my answer was no. after a couple of minutes she found a room, she upgraded me to executive room. whan i got into the room- the smell of an old carpet was so strong i couldnt even stay... i called the reception and asked to talk with the manager and asked her to get my origin room- deluxe room, the one i ordered from the begining. once again i was told that there arent available rooms at the moment and that i can use the room for now and later on i will get a new room, maybe even nicer and bigger one. she apologized and promised she will take care of me. when i got back later on during the evening to the hotel i got the key to the new room, the one i ordered- deluxe room. and that was it. nothing more. now- the thing is- i'm not expecting anything, BUT- if the reception manager tells me she will find a nicer and bigger room for me, just for the whole misunderstanding and that she "will take care of me"- that is a promise for my understanding, which was broken. that is a shame becuse it is a worthy hotel, an axclusive hotel. and she is the manager, so I do expect that one will stand behind thier words and not throwing them to the air... even a basket of fruits/ chocolate to the room would have done the job.
other than that- the hotel was fantastic.

every service that the hotel had to offer was very good. The food was excellent, personal services were superb. I liked to pool, and it was really clean. Basically every thing was absolutely perfect .

We had buffet dinner at the Dan on Holocaust Day, when most restaurants are closed.

Altogether this was a disappointing experience. The buffet, served in the Dan´s slightly dull breakfast room, was good in quality, but with an uninspired and limited choice given the price of the dinner and the reputation of the Dan. The restaurant staff was highly inattentive, not service-minded and not always able to understand or speak English. A pity!
