They put so much money into making the lobby (and the restaurant) lovely with windows overlooking the Mediterrean that they totally forgot about the rooms. Our first room had a broken shower head soaking the entire bathroom and all our stuff. The hotel switched us to a better room (meaning a King size bed instead of two twins pushed together), which was just as dirty and old as the other room. Who knows when the carpet was last cleaned and the pillows were disgusting. The halls smelled of smoke, which they masked with some weird vanilla scent. We were traveling with our teenage son and they had no rooms that had three beds so he had to sleep on a cot. The breakfast was substantial and good. Very poor customer service. There are bunch of other hotels on this same street perhaps some of them are better.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor that has an ocean view. Avoid rooms near the elevator.

My 2 friends and I originally booked our stay at The Sheraton Tel Aviv...when i checked in and saw the size of the room for 3 ppl i immediately knew we would have a problem for 2 weeks, I went a few hotels down to Crowne Plaza and asked to see their room type for 3 ppl and was soonly as disappointed as I was at the Sheraton. I walked over to Herrods Hotel which is a new hotel in Tel Aviv. I asked to speak to the front desk manager who was Osnat. I explained the situation I was in and asked what she could do for us without charging us more than our original booking price at Sheraton. She showed us a suite!! for the same price we had booked at Sheraton! Our room was amazing! 2 bathrooms! beautifully decorated! Spacious, clean!! The following day we met Mehrav...and thats when the royal treatment came into play. Mehrav was beyond hospitable to us, she took care of our every request personally and made sure we felt at home. We extended our trip just to stay at Herrods longer! The entire staff was so attentive and made sure everything we needed was taken care of right away. I would only go back and stay at Herrods!

I recently stayed in this wonderful hotel and had an incredible experience. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We received excellent customer service and the staff was very friendly. The manager, Merov Yechezkel made sure that we felt at home and was extemely hospitable. We were well accomdated on all levels. The executive lounge was beautiful and relaxing after a long day at the beach. I recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Tel Aviv and wants to leave with a fabulous memory of their trip.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor for gorgeous views

The hotel was recentely renovated. The Lobby is very lovely and is designed to get the nostalgic "old Tel Aviv" look. So are the the corridors and the breakfast restaurant. Very lovely. Unfortuanetly only the rooms in the top floors were renovated. I had the misfortune to stay at a lower floor - the bathroom was old and disgusting. I was not expecting this from such a hotel... My friends who stayed in the upper floors enjoyed their rooms and new bathroom, so make sure to ask for a renovated room!
The location is superb - right on the beach.
The breakfast was wonderful with a great variety. One of the best I ever had in a hotel.
The dinner is not recommended to vegeterians and people who do not like to eat meat. Quite expensive and no vegeterian dishes except salads and some side dishes (due to the Kosher rules no dairy products).
Not enough elevators, especially on the Sabbath.
Overall - I highly recommend this hotel but make sure you get a renovated room.

We recently stayed in this lovely hotel, well situated right on the beach in Tel Aviv.
Our room was very comfortable and as we were on the executive floor, we had access to the business lounge - very nice for a cooling drink during the day! The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast in the lovely restaurant set you up for the day - wonderful selection of hot and cold food. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We went to Israel from the UK to attend the wedding of our best friends youngest son to a lovely Israely girl. IraelieThe Herods hotel was choosen for all his British, Australian and New Zealand friends and family by the groom who although from the UK is currently living in Tel Aviv. He was so worried we would approve of his choice of hotel, but he need not have had any concern as we all agreed the rooms, choice and quality of the food, the facilities available, staff service and position of the hotel was perfect.

We choose to have an executive room which allowed access to the executive club lounge on the 17th floor, with comfitable sofas, free food changed depending on the time of day and drinks both hot, cold and alcoholic. What a good choice, we were thoughly pampered by the staff led by the Guest Relations and Club lounge Manager Merav Yechezkel, who not only ensured all was well in the lounge, but also with every aspect of our stay. We could not have asked for more to have made our stay one of the most enjoyable experiences we have had.

Room Tip: The view from the hotel rooms is fantastic, but the higher you are the better the view.
