Sheraton Tel Aviv Hotel

This property could easily be a Westin or better. The owners go over the top for being a Sheraton. Located on the Sea, the hotel is fairly small compared to the massive Hilton and offers a full range of services.

The rooms are decent, most with a view. Great shower and perhaps over firm pillows. GM Jean-Louis Ripoche had a nice bottle of wine and fresh fruit in the room. Small balconies overlook the sea, standing only.

The highlight is the daily breakfast buffet. Set in a gorgeous room overlooking the sea, it is huge yet private enough to enjoy. I counted 12 cereal selections, 20 dried and fresh fruit selections, huge variety of breads and cheeses. House smoked salmon, egg station, oodles of fresh pastries and espresso machines. OJ is fresh and amazing.

We dined at Olive Tree, known for their steak however the sea bass is better. Good but slow service and slow kitchen. You are within walking distance of many great beach restaurants.

Nice bar and lounge. Small pool with lots of kids so swim early. OK fitness studio, friendly assistants. There is a spa not affiliated with the hotel that is very nice however short hours.

Only complaint: Slow elevators. If you are SPG, two lounges, both good. Overall great place to stay in Tel Aviv, an hour from Jerusalem and half hour from the airport.

Room Tip: Higher up floors assure you get on the elevator going down. 9th floor or higher.

We stayed in two rooms in late July (family of 5). Excellent location - very close to the beach - perfect for families (in our view, better than other hotels on the beach for families). The buffet breakfast is excellent. The service was outstanding and very friendly. The concierge helpfully booked us a day tour to Jerusalem and our guide was very knowledgeable. Great value overall. We would stay again.

This is a great hotel. Yes it is a little pricey but they do give you a lot. Breakfast in the morning, beverages all day including beer , wine and champagne. Food at night until 11pm and don't forget the cappuccino. The rooms are beautiful and it right off the beach. The pool is overcrowded and the guest there can be rude. The pool is like a kiddie pool. Don't bother with it and go to the beach. The hotel will give you towels. You will have more room there plus you are in the med. a special hello to Chan in the 18th floor lounge. She is great and number one in customer service. The pool lifeguard does a terrific job I'm managing many of the over zealous guests at the pool.

My wife and I just return from a 3 1/2 week stay in Israel. The country is OUTSTANDING. Our
final five days were at the Sheraton Tel Aviv, August 4 through 9, 2013. From check in to check out, we have never experienced a more friendly, helpful, thoughtful, courteous, professional staff.

As SPG gold members we were upgraded to a beautiful 8th floor room with a complete panoramic view of the Mediteranian Sea. The sunsets were beyond belief. The room was great.
So was the wine, chocolate, bottles of water, and fresh fruit that were waiting for us. We mentioned just how good the fruit was. Immediately, they made sure to send some up each day.

Though it was not part of the SPG package, the hotel does provide one complimentary Israeli
breakfast. It was too good. We definitely over ate.

The beach right across the street was perfect. Smooth white sand and crystal blue water made
it so enjoyable. The third floor pool was excellent. It too had a great view of the sea. The fitness
room was perfect also.

To top this all off, we were given a special pass for the tower SPG suite. The food, drinks,
and view were incredible.

The Sheraton Tel Aviv was one of the best hotel experiences we've ever been blessed to enjoy.

We moved to the Sheraton from another hotel along the beach. We found it vastly superior. Everything about this hotel is first class from the staff, to the view, to the pool, to the gym and to the club lounge. We highly
recommend it.
