Thoroughly enjoyed our one-night gettaway in Tel Aviv at the Alexander Suites. Stayed in one of the amazing new renovated suites (with a NEspresso coffee machine for the die-hard fans) - next to the elevators. Great kitchenette, sitting area and room - all in funky shades of Black and White. Amneties in the bathroom were all Occitane - so indeed faultless. Restaurant upsairs is on the roof and apparently is open-air in the summer (covered in winter). Staff was very helpful, we had an early evening snack. Morning breakfast was amazingly plentiful - go for the mini pies and the home pickled vegetables. Will definitely go back - left a special impression. Small comment is that the hotel is finishign an extensive renovation so be sure to ask (and pay) for a renovated room - small areas are still being finalized - though it already looks a winner.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room. Our suite was 301.

The hotel was undergoing extensive renovation work to the lobby and to some of the other areas of the building. We were not informed prior to booking or even prior to departure. The reception persistently smelt of burning metal and on more than one occasion it was necessary to walk past a shower of sparks from a metal welder in order to get in and out of the hotel. The lifts were often dirty from workmen coming in and out and sometimes smelt quite heavily of solvent. Noisy banging work would commence very early in the morning which would wake our infant and us.

On one occasion we returned to our room at night to find the room door open and all the lights on. We were obviously concerned that someone had broken into our room, and reported it immediately. After reviewing security footage, the desk staff informed us the following day, that they believed that the housekeeper had simply forgotten to close the door behind them. No further explanation or apology was offered.

We had further cause for complaint regarding the conduct of one of the doormen who was rude and obstructive.

We raised the above concerns with the front desk manager but we were dismissed on several occasions and they would not escalate our concerns to the general manager.

Overall good location for a hotel, but terrible staff attitude and level of customer care. Stay elswhere, there are plenty of nice hotels in Tel Aviv....but not this one!

Room Tip: If you are going to stay then upgrade to an 'Executive Room'. These are the only ones which...

Location right near the beach. Rooms were very clean and roomy. Breakfast is amazing. The staff super friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back. Our stay in Tel Aviv was amazing and the hotel was part of our fantastic trip.

Room Tip: We stayed there twice. Once at the beginning of our trip and we had a room with a slight view of the...

We stayed for a week in one of the Beach Apartments. Absolutely superb. Well up there with executive suites from the top hotels around the world. Great service - you buzz reception and whatever you ask for gets sorted in minutes. The Beach Apartments are actually a block of apartments next door to the main hotel, so it is really quiet - but you get to use all of the facilities of the main hotel. Breakfast in the hotel's rooftop restaurant (outdoors) was lovely. You also get a parking space with the apartment. The location is also great. Less than one minute to a lovely clean beach, a couple of minutes to the port and all of the excitement there - and less than 10 minutes walk to the Hilton (which is the just across the park). Great Shabbat assistance too. They left front door unlocked, over-rode the timer on the hall lights so that they stayed on all the time and gave us traditional keys. Would definitely return.

Wow! What an amazing place!!! This is my second time back and would recommend to absolutely everyone. The rooms are newly renovated and amazingly comfortable, I have stayed in many high end hotels but very few can compare. The ambience is inviting and relaxing and the close vicinity of the beach make it an ideal location. Breakfast up on the terrace puts you in the perfect vacation mode aside for which the service is impeccable. The personal attention given to each resident is a rarity in Israel and I must mention Galit specifically for the attentiveness and care shown constantly. In short a comfy haven for anyone on holiday.

Firstly, I loved the hotel. It was clean and the room we have was nice.
The breakfast was included and the selection was great.
The only place where this hotel could use some improvement is in the service.
The front desk staff was curt and surly. A smile once in a while would not hurt.
The breakfast staff also were cold and not very efficient.
I figure that the owner does not care who comes in to eat because in the 3 days we were there we did not see or hear his staff ask even one person what room they were in and check the list.

I would stay there again and recommend it to others and I hope they improve on the service end.
