“Mildly disappointing”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

This was the first "must go" place I put on my list for my visit to Israel, but it fell short of my very high expectations.

I found the content sporadically interesting, and some of the exhibits unique and well presented. But sonmehow the whole lacked cohesion and context.

The biggest disappointment was the vaunted genealogical research database which in its day may have been the best tool available, but now looks dated, difficult to use, and simply not very useful.

“Quite interesting”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

We booked a private tour in advance, and felt that we benefitted greatly. More than two hours of detail about Jewish life, history and models of great synagogues.

“also the museum of the diaspora”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

This is a well laid out museum on the grounds Tel Aviv university. It is a modern building with artifacts from all over the world outlining the history of the Jewish people since the destruction of the second temple in 70 CE. Beautiful artwork and moving artifacts as well as very interesting models of synagogues all over the world. Well worth the time.
