“If you have excessive time on your hands....”
Reviewed 22 February 2014

We walked from downtown - long, but interesting and pleasant and we also wanted to visit the nearby park. The museum was practically empty and while it had a few interesting exhibits (the paper art display in the basement of the postal museum), it is mostly a yawn....

“Wonderful temporary exhibits - the museum has new life”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

I had been here last over 15 years ago. I remember a sleepy museum with archeological artifacts, which never excited me much. This time around there were three wonderful exhibits - one on the history of flight in Israel, one on paper art, and one on international photo-journalism. They were all amazing and well-arranged. It was great to see such diverse and interesting exhibits there.

“Wonderful spot to sense the growth of Israel as artistic country! a must visit!!”
Reviewed 24 January 2014

The Eretz Israel Museum is a historical and archeological museum taking the visitors into a "field trip of Israel" as young country filled with talent.its well known that the "outside the box" way of thinking had to be a way of life in Israel as life in the country of so many everyday challenges. they are so talented.
they can find art in every aspect of their life.
if you visit Israel and Tel Aviv you must visit this museum as it is a clear view of the type of people and artists this country is made of.
the restaurant next door have an amazing terrace seating which is being used even if on Jan 24th as the weather in Tel Aviv in the winter is still "outdoor cafe " type. lovely lunch spot.

“Great place, especially for kids”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

This museum has a little of everything. There is a small archaeological dig, a great exhibit (world of work) explaining how pre-industrial revolution people in the Middle East lived (e.g. weaving, fishing, farming implements with photos of people using them and explanations linking them to contemporary tools), the history of aviation in Israel, a building devoted to glass, another for pottery, etc. You can pick and choose as your time and interests allow.
Well done, and no one part of it is so huge as to be over-whelming.
