I really liked this hotel, it has great view, the rooms are big and clean and its right on the beach, it has a super nice area on the rooftop that has a pool and a bar. The decoration is nice and the staff is very friendly. 100% recommended!!

While I would not rave about this hotel, there is nothing to complain about and it has a great location, right on the beach. The rooms were very good, with windows that open, nice decor, good size even with an extra bed in it and a good bathroom. I really like that they are supporting so many artists by filling the hotel with the work of Israeli and other artists. The breakfast was good and service was pretty reasonable. It feels a very Jewish hotel but that did not bother us. And there were quite a few tour groups there but it is not a massive high rise hotel like those around it so it was not offensive either. I wish they woudl keep the pool open beyond 5pm. That seems so early. In summary I think it is a safe choice in a great location at a not unreasonably price. Don't be put off by the lobby - it is hotch potch and needs updating but the hotel improves after the lobby. We suggest you use the stairs on a weekend...this business of stopping at every floor on the Sabbath means lifts are very slow.

Room Tip: We had room 453 and it was good with reasonable views towards the beach.

I spent two weeks at the Marina Hotel during the Maccabiah Games in 2013. Only a few steps separate the hotel’s lobby with the warm sand of Tel Aviv’s prime beaches. The location of the Marina Hotel is its best feature, in my opinion, and the rooftop pool and bar do a great job showing that off.

The entrance is off a busy underpass, blocking out all natural light, as well as loud and exhaust-filled with the constant flow of traffic.

I found the rooms small and lacking of character, which contradicts the efforts the hotel puts into its common areas, as there is an ongoing art exhibition through all the hallways. The desk provides a very small surface to work, and the bathroom is also slightly cramped with very limited hooks to dry towels. The twin beds are soft and comfortable.

The complimentary continental breakfast served up a large variety of selections, including many vegan dishes. Every morning my plate was full of hummus, olives, bread with jam, as well as fresh veggies and fruit. On one particular morning, there was even soy milk, which allowed me to enjoy a bowl of muesli with dried fruits and nuts.

Although officially classified as a 4-star hotel, I believe that the Marina Hotel isn’t quite deserving of that status. If the rooms had a bit more space and character, it would be a completely different story.

A very pleasant hotel backing on to the tayelet (promenade.) A short walk to Ben Yehuda and Dizengoff and to Tel Aviv port and the park along the Yarkon.

The hotel is clean and well maintained both in its public areas and in its bedrooms. Its special feature is that good quality original art is on display throughout the hotel - well worth seeing. There is a comfortable and spacious seating area in the lobby with a coffee counter and outside seating behind the hotel.

The environment is airy and pleasant to stay in. Breakfast was good and was served in a well laid out dining room with a view over the Marina and adequate space between the tables.

My main niggle is that there were no tea making facilities in the bedroom. I think this was a serious omission. I also found the security staff rather irritating. In most hotels they do not bother guests, but here they were often just outside their box by the entrance and they would follow guests in and question them inside the hotel - not effective in keeping people out and highly inappropriate. Fortunately there is a guest entrance at the back of the hotel so it was possible to avoid them.

I highly recommend the Marina Hotel Tel Aviv.
It is a lovely hotel, a nice view of the rooftops of Tel Aviv, lovely view of the boats, Mediterranean, and swimming pool (public swimming pool).
Breakfasts were good, but better if more of a variety.
The artwork, paintings and photographs were very amusing and nice to look at, give a very bright atmosphere.
A modern and affordable hotel with great service.
We arrived at the hotel at about 9 am (check in is at 3) but they let us get to our room strait away. That is really good service.
The rooms and the lobby are clean, with very nice staff.

Great position right on the beach. were on the top floor so we had a great view. Room was comfortable and everything worked. Room very clean. Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. I think it may have been a bit expensive but because of location, it was so worth it.

This hotel (perpendicular to the beach at the Marina) is well-located for going to the beach. It is just next to the Gordon Pool & so well-located for beach activities.

They use the public parking under the hotel. We were there off-season (December/January) & had no problem but I don't know what it is like during the season.

The door men at the hotel quickly carried our suitcases down to the garage without being asked, so that worked very smoothly.

The hotel has a dining room for breakfast (a sign says it is open for dinner but it wasn't when we were there.) The coffee is bitter to American taste, and the food is mediocre. The selection of fruit was limited to sliced oranges and sliced grapefruit. Croissants were stale. Cooked pastries were heavy handed. The bread was excellent.

If you want to go to dinner you need to either take a hike a few blocks along the beach or walk 1 long and 2 short blocks up to Ben Yehuda Street, where there are a number of small eateries. The same thing is true at lunch & dinner.

We made a complicated booking thru Booking.com (several rooms with people coming and going on different dates) and it took my husband 7 emails to get it all straightened out.

The hotel has free internet service everywhere (very nice) but you need to get a new account number and password every day (a nuisance.)

The room was comfortable and well lit. The closet had plenty of hangers and drawers but not luggage rack. There is no coffee pot in the room.

One nice feature is that the rooms and halls have real art in them, rather than the usual bland reproductions of nonsense.

I think the biggest nuisance was having to take a hike for lunch and dinner. That would be awful if it were raining or very hot.

IF you are driving to the hotel, let your GPS or map take you to HaYarkon St (next to the sea) and follow the numbers. Eventually you will see a building which goes over the road and says "Marina" in blue letters. A little BEFORE the Marina hotel in the Carleton hotel --- and you want to take the driveway for the Carleton on the right side of the street. The Marina is right after the Carleton, on the same driveway, but it is not marked.
