Visiting this house will give you the best idea about what is today calls ZAHAL - the army of Israel which the Hagana was it's foundation.
In this house there are 3 floors which represents a few years in the history of ZAHAL: 1 floor the foundation of the Hagana. 2 floor how the Hagana brought to Israel from Europe the illegal immigration and on the 3 floor the foundation of the state of Israel and how the Hagana turned into ZAHAL which we know today. The Hagane has done alote against the English soldiers and the arabs.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Haganah Museum. You go through the three floors according to the years, each representing a different era. The first floor covers from the founding of the organization until 1945. The second floor covers the illegal immigration and struggles during the years 1945 to 1947. The third floor covers the years 1947 to 1948 and the founding of the IDF.
The exhibitions are very well done and most of the information is available in Hebrew and English. The exhibitions are quite modern using new technologies. In about two hours you learn a lot of history.

This museum was a surprise; and, perhaps, because I had no expectations, I have given it such a high recommendation. We spent at least two hours. The exhibitions are clear and they give a tremendous sense of the history of the Jewish settlement before the creation of the State of Israel and the complex (extraordinarily complex) responsibilities of the pre-IDF (Israel Defense Forces) military volunteer organization. For someone interested in military history and the history of Israel, the museum had several revelations. I immediately decided that I must bring my brother-in-law here, as he loves military history. Everything is translated into English. Unfortunately, most of the videos were without sound. Probably not for everyone. But it really is a gem.
