“Spacious rooms, helpful staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013

Although the street on which the Embassy Hotel is located is rather run-down, the hotel itself is smart, and the rooms are very comfortable (if a little stuffy, until the window is opened). The bathrooms were particularly good, with spacious walk-in rain showers. The friendly front desk staff could not have been more helpful.

The only downside was breakfast: it consists of cereals, fresh juice, coffee, and pastries. This was OK, and clearly kitchen space is tight. But it would have been great if they offered Israeli-type breakfasts including cheese, hummus, basic salads too.

We stayed at the Embassy Hotel for only one night, but had a very pleasant stay. We were upgraded to a suite, which was very spacious. The room was very clean en nicely decorated. Great bathroom. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull. We made restaurant reservations through the reception. The hotel is situaded close to the beach and close to the centre and all the hotspots of Tel Aviv. Yet, it is not a mass hotel, but a nice boutique hotel with a great atmosphere and not to expensive. Breakfast is simple, but ok. I can recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: I don't have specific ideas about what room to choose. I think that all rooms are ok.

We were extremely impressed with the warm welcome we received from reception. In spite of the fact that it was Shabbat, they were able to have our room ready for us earlier than we expected. The room was modern, spotlessly clean, spacious, well-ventilated with a/c that worked well and the bathroom was also very roomy. The beds were very comfortable and the lighting in the room was great. It was lovely to have a fridge as well. The included breakfast was more than adequate for our needs. The hotel's location was very handy to the beach and the city sights as well. We had many queries to ask the people at the front desk as we were traveling in Israel on our own for the first time. The staff went out of their way to be helpful with all our problems and had many other wonderful suggestions to make as well. We enjoyed our experience here so much that we cancelled our booking at another hotel for the end of the trip and booked into the Embassy Hotel for our last night in Israel. We would love to return again in the future.

I found it difficult to find a twin room in Tel Aviv within my price range. The Embassy Hotel met that criteria and ended up being a nice place to stay in for a few nights.

The staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were were equipped with TV, coffee/tea making, free Wi-Fi etc. My only suggestion would be to replace the coffee creamer powder with some UHT milk sachets but perhaps this was because of milk not being kosher?

Breakfast was small but adequate and the croissants, brownies etc. were available all day until they were all gone. The cereal available was muesli and what looked like corn flakes, not a great choice, perhaps a few more could be added?

The reception was open 24 hours and all staff members were very helpful. I would suggest replacing the door manual key entry system with a more modern electronic swipe card system for simplicity as carrying the room key around all day could lead to misplacement.

In conclusion I would recommend this hotel which is only a street away from the beach for a stay in Tel Aviv.

Room Tip: Facing sea

Clean neat hotel. Our room was just big enough...but nothing to complain about. The provision of breakfast was a nice touch. Unusual to have the hotel reception on the first floor (not ground). G and J

Excellent location (with sea view) offering very quiet rooms, nicely furnished, 50's style. Very good continental breakfast. Special thanks to all the staff (particularly Asaf and Aviv) , very professional and attentive to anyone's needs. This made for a memorable stay, as a single in a big lively city.

Room Tip: book in advance! It's always full!

Great little boutique hotel located right next to the beach. Great price compared to other larger hotel in the area, Rooms were very spacious, and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful!

Breakfast was good - cereal, croissants, cakes, breads, juices, tea/coffee etc. Complimentary hot and cold drinks were available throughout the day as well as cookies.

Will definitely be returning next year!
