“cute botique hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

This is a converted apartment building in the busy Shenkin area close to Shook Hacarmel, Lots of things to do and see within a few blocks including walking to the beach. Rooms are very small but beautifully redone in modern hip style. Parking if you have a car is extremely limited (I think they only have 3 spaces) but you hardly need a car in this area, it is so central. They offer free cookies in an nice seating area on the first floor. Breakfast is included but you need to walk a block to a couple of places that honor the coupon. One place is a regular breakfast place and the other is a pastry/coffee shop. Internet was included and worked well and the beds were comfortable. There is a modern elevator (three or four story building). I found it a bit pricy for what you get, but the Shenkin is a nice place to stay with accommodating staff if you don't mind the room being so small.

Impossible to find a kinder and more efficient staff in any hotel in Tel Aviv ! They will do everything they can to make you feel welcome and at home . Location is great in a nice shopping area , 10 min walk to the beach . Only drawback , but unavoidable I suppose , the noise of the planes at night . Would go back anytime .

A small, intimate hotel in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by Bauhaus architecture. The staff is lovely--friendly and helpful. They preside over an interior courtyard where you can hang out. Lie on a chaise lounge or sit at a table and work on your laptop. Get a cappuccino or coffee on the house with a piece of pastry. Watch the traffic in and out of the lobby and courtyard. Go up to the roof top garden and do the same there--read, sun, look out over Tel Aviv.

My room was a bit small, but comfortable--a well-designed bathroom and ample closet space. Asked for wake-up calls at 6:30 a.m.. And got 'em. My only disappointment--no dock for my IPod, inexcusable...but I'll give them a pass on it since I had my headphones with me.

Tel Aviv is a great city, a cross between Miami, Casablanca, and Silicon Valley. The Shenkin's a nice base to work out of while you go about your business and explorations.

After we were done with our tour, we found this hotel with good reviews. We did not check in until about 8 PM on a Tuesday. The staff was great, she offered us a drink of some wine. Everytime we needed something they were very helpful and attentive to what we were looking for. The room was very small but we had no complaints. It was modern and clean. Our only concern was that we could hear everything from the hallway especially those that came to their room late at night.

The hotel has a interesting way of providing extra supplies such as soap, towels, etc. Each area of each floor had a cabinet in the hallway. This saved us time rather than waiting for someone to come to our room with what we needed.

We really enjoyed staying at Shenkin hotel. The staff is exceptional and the management has the right approach to its clients. They think of your needs and requests before you get to think of them! The hotel is very well located and you can be sure that you will be in the heart of everything!

Room Tip: The bigger room the better.

We asked for a quiet room, this is what we got. A warm welcome on arrival, nothing was too much trouble, very comfortable roof garden to while away some hours, with hit and cold drinks and snacks available 24/7 at no charge! Breakfast is served around the corner at a cafe, which was very popular with the locals as well. Coffee was plentiful and no extra charge! Very close to the market too, and within easy walking distance of most places.
