“Good choice!”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

I was staying in the Center Chic Hotel in TLV in April 2012 for a couple of nights and this was definitely a good choice. The hotel is located centrally in Tel Aviv with beaches and the city center within walking distance. For Tel Aviv standards the location is also on the quiet side.

The rooms are rather small but spotless (same goes for the attached bathrooms) and - as the whole hotel - stylishly designed. Our room also had a nice balcony overlooking Dizengoff square (I am not sure whether rooms to the back have a balcony). The staff was very attentive and the service great.

Breakfast is available at the sister Hotel Cinema across the street but I found this to be overpriced. There are plenty of cafes around which offer more for less and a better atmosphere.

But all in all a good choice. I can fully recommend this place.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your positive review. We are happy to hear that you were pleased with your choice by choosing to stay with us and we very much appreciate your recommendation.

We are sorry to hear that you were not pleased with the price we offer for our breakfast. We gladly offer guests who stay with us on a room only basis several options for breakfast. They can choose from a large variety of cafes and restaurants in the area around the hotel or they have the option of dining with us at our “all you can eat” buffet at the Cinema Hotel (directly across from the Center Chic Hotel) for a moderate price of 55 NIS per person. As most of the restaurants in Tel Aviv serve an “a’lacarte” breakfast for almost the same price we do find our price very reasonable for Tel Aviv.

However we do understand that everyone has different opinions and expectations when it comes to price and although we were not able to match yours we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We thank you for choosing the Center Chic Hotel and we look forward to seeing you back here soon.

Overall we had a very nice stay in this hotel. We are a couple with a 1 1/2 year old baby. While the room we had was not the most functional for our needs (very small, especially if you have a lot of luggage and need to open more than one suitcase at a time; and the doors to the bathroom are glass so if you want to turn the light on in the middle of the night you basically illuminate the entire room), the location was great (right in the Dizengoff Squre) and the service was excellent! All staff were very professional and cordial, but we are especially grateful to Nathalie at the front desk, who was extremely helpful in providing us with explanations and assistance when we forgot some things in our room.

Dear Guest,

We are happy to hear you had an enjoyable time at the hotel and were happy with our helpful staff and wonderful location in the city. In addition, we will let Natalie know how much you appreciated her help. We are sorry to hear you encountered some difficulty with operating your luggage. I don’t know if you were able to use the luggage stands which we provide to all guests on request which can assist in making it more comfortable to arrange luggage. If not, do ask for one on your next stay with us. Thank you for choosing the Center Chic and Hotel and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Located on Dizengoff Square - that is really a circle - this little gem will permit you to walk around the lovely "White City". The rooms are not big but they are cute and give you a feeling of boutique hotel without the price tag. Breakfast is served across the street in the Cinema Hotel and we found everything delicious. The staff in both hotels was friendly, polite and very helpful. The little balcony off our room was a bonus to watch what was going on. It is a ten minute walk from the beach and Tel Aviv is a fun place to walk and talk.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that you had an enjoyable stay with us and a pleasant time in Tel Aviv. We are pleased that you were happy with our breakfast, staff and location just opposite Dizengoff square in the heart of they city. You’re right that we are just a 10 minute walk to the beach, but as most people find out quickly, most locations in Tel Aviv are roughly a 10 minute walk or bike ride away. We hope you had a lovely time exploring the city. We thank you for choosing the Center Chic Hotel and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

The hotel is located on Dizengoff Square (great location) in the center of the city.
It´s very clean with comfortable rooms.

The front desk people are very friendly, always giving great advice on traveling to other cities in Israel using public transportation. They are also alert and give perfect answers to all guests request´s (either plugs to plug the notebook, maps, directions, where to eat, where to go etc.).

They have a free service rent of bicycles to their guests, wich is great!!!

The breakfast is very complete.
The rooms have individual balconies, which is wonderful.

The hotel has some areas for improvement to do, such as putting on every room one of those luggage furniture with stripes to make easier and remove things from our suitcases and luggage. (I had to leave my bag down on the floor, the seven nights, and every time I had to use some item of it, i had to stoop).

It's nothing serious, but a hotel of this category should have these elements to leave the suitcase at a height that allows it to maneuver without effort.

Bottom Line: Very good hotel, With a very friendly staff, but with a few to improve equipment level.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review of the Center Chic Hotel. We are delighted to hear how happy you were with the location, service and rooms of the hotel. We are sorry to hear you had some difficulty with your luggage. We do actually have luggage furniture holders to place your luggage on. We do not put them in every room because not every guest uses the item. However, we gladly provide the furniture to all guests who ask the front desk. We are sorry that you were unaware of this and we hope this helps for you next visit. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Center Chic Hotel in the future.

Center Chic in Tel Aviv was the ideal place to call home. The tiny rooms are well designed (except for the lack of a place to put your stuff in the bathroom) and have little balconies that expand the space. It's in a quiet, leafy cul de sac adjacent to its sister hotel, the Cinema. Tel Aviv is an architecturally challenged city full of badly constructed and patched up commercial and residential buildings. These two hotels are Bauhaus era structures in a neighborhood dotted with similarly-designed homes and apartment buildings that have been mostly well-maintained. The Center Chic is staffed by a remarkably accommodating and knowledgeable staff, most particularly Nathalie at the front desk. There's a happy hour 5-7 where one can lounge around and talk to fellow visitors and regroup before heading out for the evening. And it's fairly priced.

Room Tip: overlooking the street

We stayed in a couple of hotels and this is absoultely our favourite. It has a great location, 10 mins from beach but close to all the shops and restaurants. Rooms are very small, but they are perfectly formed and super comfortable. Maybe not ideal if you have a lot of luggage but if you are in town for a few days, this is the place to stay. Great roof terrace. Overall, small but personable..
