This Mediterranean–Middle Eastern haute cuisine is enlivened with French and Italian touches.
Messa’s impressive white-on-white dining room – and black-on-black bar evoke the style of New York or London, while its menu of luxe-Levantine dishes by Chef Aviv Moshe evokes flavors of the Middle East.

We went there for a business lunch. The food was excessive and had fabulous taste combinations. The atmosphere was cool jazz. A real treat to experience the real Tel Aviv like an Israeli, not a tourist.

I've eaten at Messa twice and the food has been superb on both occasions. This is an excellent kitchen clearly headed up by a top chef. The menu is quite large for a restaurant of this quality. The emphasis is seafood, but the vegetarian and meat options are excellent also.

The wine list is quite good with a broad selection of international wines from the old world and some from the new. Of course, there are many Israeli wines also.

The restaurant fit-out is stunning, with elegantly simple white drapes and candles setting a formal, but funky, vibe. As the night progresses the bar next door becomes louder and it becomes clear that the action has moved from the restaurant to the Bar. While those looking for a quite formal dining experience may be perturbed by that, younger diners will embrace it.

Messa should be at or near the top of the list for any food lover visiting Tel Aviv.

Everything was great: Lovely décor; friendly, helpful staff; inventive, delicious food for all three courses we had; a great variety of choices, from vegetarian options for me to non-kosher seafood for a dining companion. I had a salad with a wonderful mix of complicated flavors, including a fun wasabi kick; a delicious pasta with a truffle sauce that featured the truffles without exaggeration and had a nice tartness; and a refreshing, clean, delicious ice cream and pastry dessert.

We went there with a group of 11 people for my birthday. The place is gorgeous the staff is great and the food is beautiful and delicious. We even had a waiter who spoke perfect English which was awesome.
